As Memorial Day approches, I would love to see people exercise their rights and Fly the Confederate Flag in Honor of the southerners who died in the war, defending their Independence from Abe Lincoln. Lincoln declared war on the south to force the states back into the Union, and He is directly responsible for over 600,000 American deaths. I'm tired of the lies about how Lincoln was the good guy...Its just not true, he was a power hungry war monger who was Interested in high taxes and tarrifs, not slavery. Everywhere I look I see the American Flag, Lets start flying other flags, maybe of our Herritage or ethnicity, thats what America is about, Being Individuals, not necessarily thinking like everyone else, thats what true freedom is about.

Sure. Let's be divisive again. The South LOST. Confederate flags belong in attics, not on flagpoles, especially here in NY.

Would you like people tp fly the 1st National CSA Flag (Stars and Bars) or the Battle Flag (Southern Cross)?

An interesting point about the south losing the war...so from your view, if the colonists lost the war against the British, then you would condem me for flying the American flag?...Keep in mind, our country was founded on slavery, overthrowing a government, and killing thousands of Indians and stealing their land, all under "freedom and Libery", the "stars and stripes"...Ask the Indians how they feel about the American Flag.

About the same way black people feel when they see you fly the CSA flag. Poor excuse for justification.

Why would you fly any Confederate flag north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Precisely. Lots of our ancestors died fighting for the Union, or wasted away in Confederate POW camps. If the South wants to recognize its war dead, let it. The Confederacy is defunct, and up here its flag is irrelevant to most, and offensive to many.

If everyone Respected each others Rights to express themselves, then we would have true Freedom and Libery, but we definitley dont have that in what this country has become...The American spirit is Long gone. I respect others rights and I've found that many people oppose mine...The muslims have a right to have their Mosque in NYC, the constitution gives that right, end of discussion, just as you have the right to display a symbol thats part of your herritage. When we start picking and chosing those things, then we satrt having rights only by majority rule...the constituion was needed to protect the minority, not the majoriy.

Some call it the "Rebel" Flag, but the only Rebel of the times was Abe Lincoln. It was his own personal war that cause so much devestation. He was a Trator and a Tyrant. The southerners will always be the true Heros of Lincon's war against the states.

You're entitled to fly whatever flag you like, and to express your opinions. The laws of this country afford you that right. My opinion is that celebrations of the Confederate cause here in NY are likely to be met with scorn, not to mention skepticism re: your real motives.

Agree with 'hmmmm' wholeheartedly.

It is a mildly cretinous idea, notwithstanding the fact that it comes from someone who feels passionately enough about the issue not to bother spelling 'traitor' right.... LOL @ Captin Butts!!!!

My motive is that I like the south and civil war history...as for your motives against it, for all I know you're against others' rights when you dont' agree, so your motives are against freedom. If I find the American Flag offensive because I"m part Indian, will you take your flag down? Probably not... that just shows "you people" are hypocrites.

What part of "You're entitled to fly whatever flag you like " zipped over your head, Sugar? Be prepared to have others disagree with YOU. It's how we do things in this country.
