From a HP article:“Under the law passed in 2006, the postal service must pay at least $5.5 billion a year into a retiree health benefit fund, a steep "prefunding" requirement that … and which account for most of the postal service’s losses….”

THIS PREFUNDING MUST COVER 75 YEARS OF TIME, but MUST BE PAID IN ONLY 10 YEARS from 2006 to 2016. CORPORATE AMERICA DOESN’T DO THIS. NO COMPANY HAS TO DO THIS!

Therefore, this is not a true debt. It is one imposed by a congress who has LEVERAGED the post office into bankruptcy. The same thing Mutt (the bully) Romney does to companies in America like SENSATA, in Freeport, Illinois.

This “debt” can be wiped away as easily as taking a vote, or getting out the eraser to make it disappear.
Could Congress privatize the post office for their business friends, if they erased the debt?

So what happens:

1. 150K people lose their jobs
2. Some post offices close
3. Cost increases to mail a letter
4. Service is poor

Meanwhile the private companies:
1. get the remaining trained workers at a lower salary
2. buildings
3. equipment
4. vehicles
5. and customers, without any advertising!
And they get all of that WITHOUT MAKING AN INVESTMENT OF THEIR OWN.

Sweet deal for them and Americans get screwed again!
