Your philosophy is stupid. Why should I buy LOCAL even though their products and service is horrible? I will always spend my money for my benefit, not because it is a local business. Moronic!
alot of big chain stores are terible too but you rarely see them being trashed on topix .... many local people take a risk in business and its really hard to pay bills sometimes ... why would you try to hurt them on purpose ... sometimes they have bad days like anyone else .... dont be a hater... GOD KEEPS SCORE AND YOUR LOSING!!!!!!!

Seems like Marilyn has eaten too many half moons for her full moon that she didn't sell. I wonder how she can sit with her full moon in the seat of her personal airplane.

I went there asking for a donation to an event which included a high number of professionals-(the ones that buy and buy again) and Marilyn refused. What a CHEAPSTAKE. Left a very bad taste in my mouth no matter how much sugar she wants to add. Shameful and selfish!!!

The customer who is well known in the area and so is her mother she went yesterday to pick up food she ordered for a party. She had her 4 year old child with her and I had to use the bathroom she asked if he could use their bathroom and the lady said no it isn't a public bathroom.. So the mom said can you just take him so he can go and she said no.. The customer knows Mariylan and she was in the back.. The customer ok with all the people we know I will be sure to let everyone that you wouldnt allow a littl child to use your bathroom and canceled the order she placed for food that she was having a party. So the little boy get outside and went to the bathroom. What a story huh they wouldn't let this child use their bathroom..Let everyone know about this incident that Miss Brown acts so high and mighty...
Holland Farms will do just fine without you as a customer. You shouldn't come on here and bash a reputable business just because their enforcing their own policy.

Yes the bathrooms are inback kitchen ..... Near food & machinery ... Therefore it could turn to an insurance issue... Who cares if its a 4 yr old child or 18 yr old adult ... Rules are rules for a reason ... Deal with it. & they do donate " day olds" to multiple charities that call daily to pick them up. I worked here in highschool.. Holland farms is a bakery/deli ... Not a rest stop.

<quoted text>Im having a hard time believing this. Normally people pick up food they ordered for a party shortly before the party starts, who would cancel a food order on such short notice like that? Where else would the mother get food for a party at the last minute like that? If she was picking up food for a party, it must have been preordered in advance.
peeing outside is against the law...don't treat your child like a puppy

Could have been much worse. The child could have peed on the side of Marilyns plane.

I was heading up Rt 28 near Inlet once and stopped to get a drink and my very young son needed to go pee- and I was told the same thing- no public restroom- so we went out in the parking lot and he went pee in the parking lot. Absolutely ridiculous! I definitely would have cancelled the food order- good for her!

I knew a guy that would leave paper bags of dog shit at places like this. Not sure how it all worked but he told me it was very messy and smelly.

I agree with "Agree"; I worked at a retail place that did allow customers to use the employee bathrooms. You would not believe the disgusting messes people would leave. I sympathize that a child needed to use a bathroom, but it's not the store's responsiblity.
How sad when nature calls if have to go to the bathroom this is something we all do ... A child should have been able to do potty her her bathroom..I hope all you people that are against this child using her bathroom that your child or grandchild has to go to the bathroom but can't I hope your child pisses on the floor and shits on the floor...

The people that think Holland Farms has good food is because you really don't know good food and you will eat anything just as long as you don't have to make it.. I would never serve their food at any of my parties.. I make my own and If for some reason I will only order at Hapowicz they have the best ...

Maybe you should have told your "friend" about how "horrible" the Holland Farms product is BEFORE "she" ordered. Also, if you were there with her, why couldn't YOU have taken the child to the petrol station down the street? Sunoco has a public restroom, and it takes all of thirty seconds to drive there.

If a FOUR YEAR OLD can't hold his bladder for a few minutes, put the brat in a diaper. You bought take-away food because you're too lazy - oh, ahem, I mean "important" - to cook. You did not purchase unlimited access to this privately owned establishment. Look after your own kid (or are you too "well-known" to do that?)!

It can actually be a danger to your health if someone is forcing you to “hold it”.
The most common health risk is that you could develop a urinary tract infection. Infections are serious business. If not treated properly, they can cause damage to your body. Urinary tract infections develop when bacteria collects in urine that has been sitting around in the bladder for awhile. If you are forced repeatedly to “hold it“, it may put you at risk for other serious problems, including over-stretching of the bladder muscles and kidney failure from the bladder pressure.
Well, if the child is being "forced" to "repeatedly hold it," then the parents are clearly abusive and/or neglectful. It doesn't mean the business has to make an exception and break policy (and/or the law.) You wouldn't be rallying against Holland Farms if it was a 12 year old or a 20 year old or even and 80 year old - get over it.

Poor little guy. They have to go when they have to go. Anyways the owners are cheap and they don't support local business. They would rather go to Kmart,Home Depot, walmart or garage sales. You can give your opinion and if people don't like it on this site,oh well!!. When they know you,or who your talking about they want to fight, say nasty things or correct your spelling. Please. If we all knew who they were it would really be a fun time.

It wasn't my child and I think that a bussiness can make exceptions omg let the four year go to the Bathroom. I believe she did this and you can get food at other places just have to be creative.. Maybe this little didn't have to go when they left the house... You people are cruel I wonder how you would feel if this was your child...I buy nothing from Holland Farms their cakes are all dried out and suck.. Their salads are horrible....If I don't feel like making my salads I go to Happy Hapanowicz the have the best of everything right there..And its all fresh and good
