Won't happen. If the casino resolution does pass, we won't see any of the benefits around here. And Halbritter and the tribe will continue unscathed.

and after you vote NO, CALL Marcy codes office and ask what company pulled the building permit for the "Nano Tech" project, because to your surprise there will be NO NANO TECH COMPANY BEING BUILT! Then ask yourself who is lying, then take it 1 step further and ask where is the job fair being held? Rochester? google it.

wish it would've been voted down but the votes are in so...
as much as i appreciated the downstate residents when it came to the SAFE act i wish they had a better understanding of what the indian gamblin' hall has meant to CNY in terms of the negative effects that come with casinos. still holding on to some hope that the lawsuits currently in litigation by the towns of verona and vernon can turn the tide but not holding my breath. so what to do?
try to shut down the towns? how about de-funding the roads that lead to the gamblin' halls? maybe gather for a group reading of dr seuess? nah... that's what morons do. i'll just accept defeat on this issue with dignity and move on...

So, you like the "Safe" Act and you oppose gambling. Sounds like you're one of those nanny-staters who just feels the need to control others' behavior. Perhaps you should consider moving to NYC, where you can live under the new commie regime.

i'm pro choice, pro gay rights, pro gay marriage, pro big gulp, pro separation of church & state, pro states rights to legalize and regulate cannabis, pro ACA, pro SAFE act, able to formulate my own views, express them personally and in the voting booth, and most importantly able to accept the will of the voters without spewing childish blabber as is obviously your style. couldn't help but grin to hear that Virginia drove a nail in the coffin of the tea party. more to come...

Although I do not agree with all that you stated it was very nicely put. Some people just can't control themselves and have to resort to "childish blabber".

"Nail in the coffin of the tea party"? It was supposed to be a double digit, easy, non eventful win for the Liberals. Polling was 60/40 prior to Obamacare's unveilment. Then Obamacare turned it into a nail biter in five short weeks. The Liberals breathed a sigh of relief as they outspent the Republican's $3 to every $1 in that election. That's no nail in the coffin.

you'll get no argument from me in that elections can turn on soup dujour, but after election day it doesn't matter "how close" it was. to the winner goes the gig. the prevailing trend in america's view of the tea party is pretty dismal even considering the overall dissatisfaction. Va.seems to have evolved. Welcome y'all!

You people still don't get it. Take a proposal, bundle it up with pretty ribbons and you buy it. Cuomo's lies concerning Prop #1 and SAFE Act The SAFE Act does nothing to make New Yorkers safer. Criminals don't obey laws. That's why they're criminals. Chicago law makes ALL guns illegal. How safe is it there? Wake up. The NY State Lottery was presented years ago to the voters, exactly the same as Prop #1. School taxes have not gone down a single penny since. What do you think Prop #1 is going to do for us? NOTHING!!! Another one of Cuomo's helping New York crap. Time will tell. BTW, if the casino were to close down today, Oneida County would be bankrupt within a year. Be careful what you wish for. Just like OBAMACARE! Wait and see how that pans out. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

Uh, try again, Buckwheat. The Oneidas will NOT be put out of business because King Andrew the Pompous decrees that new casinos will dot the realm. And, we here in central NY will not see any benefit of it.

Unlike you, I vote. I don't try to pick the winner, which seems to be the pathetic game you like to play at the voter's booth.
