police failed to do their job. He was intoxicated when arrested, he was also desperate making calls to different people with no luck and those are factors for police to considered him a high risk suicidal. Where were the police and what were they doing in such a small lockup place??

he was feeling hopeless, desperate, depressed and under the influence of alcohol you would have the guts to do something like that, you have no idea every thought going through his mind at that moment, but how about if he didn't do it; How about if police had something to do with his death? How can we know for sure what really happened???

He didn't deserve to die like that. He saved about two or three people in his lifetime from committing suicide. How ironic life is. He was such a loving and sociable person, lots of friends here in Utica miss him so much. Why is life so unfair? Why so much suffering and pain? That was one of his questions. We are not even aware of it until it touches us or close to us.

How you know he was brought to hospital before? You must be a cop then.
Saying "how about if the police had something to do with it", its not a blame on the police, its a possibility that one must consider. And believe me, everyone who knew him which is a lot of people, don't believe he did that to himself. but I can tell you if he wasn't drunk, which makes anyone emotionally unstable, he wouldn't had done such a thing. The police were responsible for his safety in there, they failed. Does this sound like blaming the cops?

Remember, if a person whats to commit suicide, not matter what you do there are going to do it.
Then again blame the cops you coward!
If it was your son or someone really close to you, arrested for DWI (which could happen to anyone) instead of Ray, would you have said, "oh yea, the police officer that night errored, failed to conduct the 15min check, but oh well, if he was going to commit suicide he would have commit it anyways??? I dont think so, you would hold the police responsible.

I didn't blame him for anything. Police came looking for me to return my lost purse and questioning him found his warrant, but he probably thought I blamed him and I called the cops, I DIDNOT. I didn't get a chance to tell him I didn't blamed him, that I DIDNOT had him arrested. I was mad at him that night for being drunk, so I didn't want to talk to him when he called me. So, now I have learned a big lesson about blame, but its too painful at this price

You like, the sponcers and the cops are feeling the after effect of Ray's actions. Do you now see what I mean. It effects everbody.

And yes, I always got blamed for things I never did. Not, so much by the cops, but by other people. Know matter how I explained, know matter how many witnesses I provided and know matter how many times the truth was steiring them in their face, I was to blame. It was like I had that black cloud over my head.

It does take a special person today to stand there and take accountabilty for there actions.

I believe that your reasoning not to talk to him, was not to be mean, but to let him now that you meant real business. Business in respect, meaning the booze or you. Basically, you gave him a choise and Ray mad his decesion.

Honestly, I know some cops in Utica and I did a little investgation myself and got alot of answers. Answers that made sence and I came to reality.

There is no blame here.

Ray took that way out.

Hopefully I will see you soon. Ounce we speak you will know who I am.

BOD BLESS

Ray, knows the truth, even more now. He knews that you actions were not meant to hurt him.

I am really considerate and bothered for the lost of Ray. Ray was a person, no different than us. Just, Ray chosed his path and we chosed ours.
Before I go any further in the conversation I AM NOT A POLICE OFFICER!
I HATE BLAMERS!
NML I understand your frustaion but look at the family and friends that are hurt. look at the Police Officers who now have to live with this and probally will lose their jobs. The Police Officers didn't strike him, the Police Officers did show him what to do. I know Ray wasn't thinking in the right frame mind when he did this. I guess what I am trying to say don't point blame, sit back, look what at ever we did wrong and try to correct it. Ray, was killing himself already with the alcohol. Ray did what he did to speed up the process.
I was a friend of Ray's and on several different times I piked Ray up when he fell and brought him to the hospital. This time I was not there to help him. I can not and will not blame anybody.
With Ray in mind say to yourself ",There for the Grace of God Goes I."
Please in the future don't blame me, the Police Officer, yourself or anybod.
GOD BLESS Ray and you
