6 DWIs and he's being defended because his holidays were a sad time? Mine were sad too ... I lost my fiance' to a DWI loser like him. There's no excuse. Lock his butt up!

Once is a mistake, twice you fkd up, three or more is a major problem. A problem that affects so many other people. Selfish if you ask me. No excuses, he will get what he deserves. Sad.

He is not able to get honest with himself. Until he does, he'll keep doing what he's doing. Sad indeed.

I have to say that Jeff was really trying to keep things together. Thanksgiving and the upcoming holidays may have broken him with him having nowhere to go. Parents have passed. He does love his daughter dearly so let us please stop the negative words. Yes, he has messed up MANY times, there is still a decent human buried there. Let his daughter try and have a glimmer of faith in him. She may see this someday, think about that.
Saw things, agree not to dirt him for his daughters sake but dudes like this kill entire family,s and maybe get a cut leg. After 6 dwi,s only jail time will deter him from drinking and driving again.

Lots of people have tried to help him. He just wants to use. It's really that simple. He'll do time. When he gets out again he'll play it like he "really wants it this time." A few cons here and there and he'll be back doing the same sh!t. I was thinking 3-9 upstate.

Who are you? Why hide who you are? Just to talk cheap shit about ppl? If you knew him so well you'd know me so tell wtf are you? I've not seen him in many many years, but he was a good person when I knew him now it sounds like he is deeply troubled. Anyone know where he is or how to contact him? Sounds like he needs some help not a bunch of bs spoken of him by ppl who obviously aren't very nice ppl themselves.

Sad I met this guy in jail back in 09 was a really nice guy.,he was really bummed out about going home, said he had no one or anywhere to go supposely his wife and family left him and gave up,if you had a convo with him it would make u think why a guy so well spoken and mannered would be in jail.

It's called self medicating a deep issue or a mental illness. People say the drinking is the illness but it's not it's the drug they self medicate with. Obviously he needs help, drinking and driving is terrible thing to be doing, he needs help. If the only way to make sure he isn't on the roads is throwing him in jail then so be it. That doesn't change the fact that this man isn't a monster he's ill, he needs help. He was a really good guy when I knew him, I don't think that he's become a bad person I think he's become a person in a bad state of mind. People in here speak so ignorantly. Grow up, stop being bullies, act like adults. Recognize how hateful and uneducated you sound. I hope he is in county lock up .. at least he can't kill himself or another driving drunk. I hope he finds some help where ever he is.

It sounds like you did run into this fella because the way you describe him sounds like him. I pray he finds some help he's way to nice a fella to just throw his life away by taking anothers life in an accident. If he ever killed anyone he'd never be able to live with himself, so for now I hope he's locked up if he's not in recovery and seeing a psychiatrist so they can properly treat whatever illness he is suffering from. I would like to say if you read this Jeff please go to my FB I will do what I can to help you. I'm so sad to hear things have gone so wrong.

Hey Heather...why dont you contact him and give him the help he so desparately needs. Then, when he burns you like he has everyone else in his adult life, come back and share with us how wonderful and nice he is! Nobody denies the guy has an illness. The problem is he needs to be off the street! And he WAS very strange when we were growing up....big deal. That's the least of his problems.

Went to high school with him and he was a good kids. Listen alcoholism is an illness and does lead to other addictions and depression. I was there, I was down and out and turned to alcohol to self medicate and just fell deeper into depression and ended up doing something stupid. But there is hope, I did it, changed my life but you have to want to be helped. What he needs is support, not people putting him down and pushing him further into a state of more depression. There is a difference between being supportive of his recovery and being an enabler. And sometimes the drug our alcohol addiction is so strong that you do hurt the ones closest and take advantage of the ones that try to help. Instead of knocking him down when he makes a mistake, pick him up and tell him that he can do this he can change for the better. You people on here think that he wants to have 6 DWI's? No but if Everytime he does something wrong he gets negative feedback it just pushes him back to his safety net. I know you perfect people don't understand and don't ever make mistakes. But alcoholism and drug addiction is an illness and with the right treatment and support system both can be treated and beaten. I am proof. Jeff keep your head up and stand tall. You can change and what will make it even more satisfying to you is making that change for yourself and proving all the naysayers wrong. If you need some support please let me know.

One more thing, while we are on this topic. I think the government should place alcohol ignition locks in all vehicles of everyone. That should stop the DWI's. If your going to ban weapons and punish everyone because some people don't obey the law and use them the wrong way, then just think of the lives saved by installing this interlock on all vehicles. There are more deaths caused from drunk driving than there is from guns.
