The issue here is that newspaper types think that this negative opinion is from Mars, not their town, and are in denial about the way people actually think.
In any case, I'm open to feedback about Topix (especially from our users and when its not wrapped up in a bunch of self righteous Journalistic claptrap)

I believe that Topix policy, is to report criminal behavior to law enforcement. Does this happen? Or is it anything goes here? Is that why you don't care for the journalistic elite? Because they follow the law?

I'll try and explain it, lets hope you have the brains to follow. Making a threat or any statement, is being made to a PC, unless you post your name, you are just an ip address. Its the nature of the net. This isn't facebook, you post with fake names but you expect respect. Pretty sad people can be offended and be so scared by words. Easy to tell you people didn't start America, you just live off its heels. The other thing, you are so fooled to actually think they care, they will tell you, and act like they do, but all the comments bring business. Funny to see you people with no lives sitting on topix as your life's bread get all bent, you're all comical. Maybe soon you can get a double shielded bubble from your killer government to keep you all safe and warm.

Ask the CEO to make topix 2, a site where only topix post the news story and you can't make a post only comment, you have to sign in with your real name and people can see your address, tell him how you and the other (people) and I use the term loosely, are scared and don't like to see bad words. Try crying, and get all the freaks to sign a petition asking for it. Maybe instead of points, you get stars on the pic of your forehead. Maybe some flowers on the pages with a couple of throw pillows.

Then see how long it lasts and how profitable it is.

Nothing will change until the wheels fall off one way or the other. You can tell by the whole amateurish way Topix operates and responds to events on its pages in the past. Or slandered. I took a look around this Utica forum, and pretty quickly found a business slandered, said it had roaches etc. and the waitress also, by her real name, was accused of doing lines on the bar. To me, that is pretty sad.

Its not about how many people can sign on or how their anonymity is protected, as it should be.

Its that Americans have human rights. Its about that all human beings have feelings, they are hard-wired into our make-up. Their businesses should not be ruined, their lives by lying gossip. Its about that Topix needs to understand this to be a functional media business.

Ethics in business are not only important, they are essential. They cannot be thrown out.

If untrue, yes, sad. But there are cockroaches in most restaurants, all over the US, until they can put they in a sealed environment, bugs can be found.

Safe from who ? If you are referring to say 911, no one is going to stop a small group of people already here, no one. They can make groups of homeland security on every corner and not stop anything, this is a fallacy.
