How juvenile. Let's make fun of the less fortuneate. You are truly a class act. Utica Topix has to be the most immature, racisist and just plain stupid forum I have ever ran across

Hope the clients are trying to better themselves there than using the place as a free ride.

All right enough. I personally know the good Rev. and regardless of who they serve the guy truly cares. To be good at what he does, you have to master the art of promotion and capitalize on every opportune moment. Does that make him worthy of criticism? Hardly. Look at the bigger picture and you will see a man who is bringing joy to the less fortunate through your donations and keeping them local. I commend Mr. Dodge for his efforts. I'm also thankful that he has the patience to work with those less fortunate that most of us wouldn't give the time of day to. So, you see he does serve a valuable role in the community. If he puts a few bucks in his pocket and makes a nice living, more power to him. I don't really see an issue here and I'm not sure where some of you hope to go with this. If you have an issue, go work as hard as him and start your own agency. Until then, don't criticize those who are actually satisfying a much needed service in this pathetically disgusting place we are calling home for whatever reason keeps us here.

I'm sure people eating there have a laptop handy to reply to this thread. Plus the library is closed on Sundays.

I'm sure they do and I'm sure there are many who don't. I had the pleasure of once delivering meals and it was a gratifying experience. It wasn't so much as it made me feel good, but rather how appreciative and some unappreciative the less fortunate are. I'm grateful that Mr. Dodge allowed me that opportunity in life to be a volunteer. That experience was priceless. Trust me here, Rev. Dodge should be the last one on anyone's radar screen at this point. People like him will always be needed to fill certain community niches. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be checks and balances. But, what I am saying is in terms of picking and choosing battles, he's the least of anyone's worries in terms of hoping to revive our area.

u must be living under a rock. People get help as a by product of what Dodge does does to line his pockets. It's unavoidable. If he could keep it all, he would. He needs a cause, so he "helps" a few folks for appearance sake.Wake up.
