What a waste of time The company that owns this building will not pay a dollar to fix or demo this building, The tax payers of Utica and Oneida county will pay the bill

Why doesn't the city seize the building and auction it off like they hae with other buildings around the city? Better stil, movie city hall in there.

If they don't pay, get a Judgement against them and seize their assets for the cost of the demo. On a demo cost for this huge bldg, it will warrant going after the owner and pursueing the matter in Court until their assets are seized.

The loser that owns this building should be sued for criminal negligence. You can't trust outsiders. Take a lesson from this situation and from Piers & Blake. It's too easy for these people to blow out of town when the tax man cometh.

Yes demo that building, I would like to see The City of Utica seize the owner of this building assets, The Company has better lawyers that Utica could afford Looks as if the Tax payers of Utica will pay the bill Nice job spending hte tax payers money.

Sell it to a local buisness man for extremely cheap. Let he/she throw some money at it and let them make it thier own. If it was actualy appealing on the inside people may hae interest in going there.

Oneida County Supreme Court Judge Patrick McRae ordered the building’s owner, Ronald Prince, to either tear the building down or make the necessary repairs. If he doesn’t within 90 days, the city will be able to takeover the building, said city Assistant Corporation Counsel Joan Harris. “He’d have to do what he originally asked the contractor to do,” she said.“That’s demo the inside of the building, clean out the debris and make it sanitary.” The HSBC building has been vacant for several years. Prince, of Los Angeles, bought the building with the idea of turning it into a Victorian-era fair but it soon fell into disrepair, with widespread vandalism and water damage.

whats funny is the city paid the hotel uticas owner hundreds of thousands for the parking lots for the bus garage and didnt want to pay this guy the hundreds of thousands for his lots and building and it would have been a better location then where the bus center is now do you people really trust your leaders

the city could have used the money from the bus garage deal and used it to buy the hsbc remodle it use the lots outside for the buses and then even rent the upstairs of the hsbc for rent its and still have money left over to demo the buildings for parking for buses on bleecker street your leaders have no clue how to build in utica ny
