THE TRUTH HERE! They took the ATM out of that place about 5 months ago, they claim no one was using it, so that is the story there, I can tell you this utica can't support a radisson downtown anymore the prices there are sky-high and the level of service does not match the prices, as I have seen many times I would'nt be surprised to see that place go out of business in a year maybe two. Honestly $190 a night for a room in the dump which is utica? Unsustainable totally!...THE TRUTH AT WORK...

THE TRUTH HERE! The writing has been on the wall so to speak for quite a while for the radisson, I have been going there when they used to have live entertainment in the bar, the bar was configured differently then. That was over 10 years ago so much has changed since,....

I have stayed at the radisson too many times to count and it has been going down hill very fast! The evening restaurant staff is one of the best I've ever come in counter with but they are disrepected and are treated like dirt by management! I don't know who the two male managers of the restaurant are but when you see two guys walking around doing nothing at all when the staff is busting their asses thats when you know you have found them! One of the guys is behind the bar some evenings and does not belong there whatsoever! It got to the point that if I walked into the bar and he was behind there I would leave! The issues at this hotel start from the top and just trickle down! It's no wonder they have dudes tweaking out on bath salts in their restrooms, the whole management staff is fucked up on something or other. It's like a pharmacy there! As the saying goes and it def applies at this shit whole! "It's not about who you know, it's about who you blow" or in some instances what you blow!

All I can say is that the Friday and Saturday buffets are to die for!! Where else can you get Prime Rib, pasta, soup, salad, appetizers and dessert for 24 dollars? The service is good to, the best I've seen in a long time. Oh yeah and the Sunday brunch is even better!!!!

No worries... Thanks to Larry Adler and Pat Tyksinki, we have a new Hampton Inn in the woods of New Hartford. So let the Radisson in Utic close! We are ready!

The place was top in the country when it was owned locally, once it was sold it was all about saving money at whatever cost. Employees work overtime - and aren't paid for it. They are expected to work insane hours for very little money (most are minimum wage and when they work overtime they are told they must not have punched in correctly). The managers walk around whistling with their hands in their pocket checking out anything with boobs, or spend their nights partying at nearby bars and using the hotel for their own "recreation". The place quickly went from doing everything to make the guest happy to doing everything to protect the bottom line. I have never seen a place that treats their employees as poorly as that place. It has been said by upper management that they would rather throw food out from a buffet than allow staff to eat it. And while your enjoying your soup on the buffet please realize the meat is probably from last weeks buffet, if your lucky that is, otherwise its from weeks before. So while they continue to raise prices and remove food from the buffet they also continue to re-use old food from buffets past. And the rooms are seriously overpriced for the sub par quality and possibility of bed bugs, mice, and roaches as roommates. "Yes I can" see why employees hate the place and the management.
what a joke

Ive been there on business multiple times. Not by choice of course but some of the staff is what makes it worthwhile. The evening staff are one of my favorites i have come into contact with minus a few bad eggs. Most of them make you feel like family and thats important to me considering im away from mine alot. The bartenders do a great job in taking care of me with the exception of one who in my opinion needs a job in a cubicle away from people. Ive never met someone so rude before. You put people like that up front and and you wonder why business falls apart. I have seen enough in that place where i know the employees are treated like a pile of dirt, maybe even lower than dirt. Dont get me started on the manager of the restaurant. Biggest joke ive ever seen in my life. That staff works their asses of and he walks around whistling with his thumb up his rearend. I couldnt fathom why anyone would want to work in an environment like that. I give it a year or less before that place is done. Its a shame. Get rid of the whistling joke and it may do a little bit better.

I know the bartender that everyone is talking about! He was there during the day, before my friends wedding. He seemed to get really flustered with only six people at the bar and he was completely rude to everyone!! We were so appalled, would never go back if he is there!! The bartender that came on after him (his name is Doug I believe) was amazing.
