gun owners are bitching about there names being released and sayin aborions and stds should be released. thats just idiotic and asking for people to be descriminated against. so many people are against abortions look at planned parent hood if that information was released the same nut jobs would be on the side walks in front of peoples houses. it would be hard for people to get jobs if people who were pro life knew they had an abortion or if they had hiv or anything else. abortions and stds are way more private then stupid ass guns. noone has the right to know your very very PERSONAL records. and only write on this if you have the same opinion.

Hey guess what. I do not have the same opinion. I think you are a complete idiot and you should sell your computer. If my name can be released to the public because I own a firearm than anyone's name can be released for any other reason. Why do you think gun owners info should be public? Because we are all potential mass murderers? Are you that much of a tool?

I believe that nothing should be private. The government should have access to all personal information and be able to release it the public. Before dating or marrying someone could go to the government database to see if the person owned a gun, had a prior abortion, STD, previous bankruptcy, previous marriage, etc. Also, if the government had everyones DNA and fingerprints it would be easier to identify and catch criminals. The government should start obtaining DNA and fingerprints at birth and update the information every time Obamacare is used.

That's exactly how it should be! They all took an oath to to uphold and protect the constitution not change and manipulate it! All the good officers of the law protect the peoples rights and the 2nd amendment!

I agree. Something like that would be beneficial to society. If the government had our DNA everyone could receive the proper health care and could be checked sooner and more often for cancer or certain types of diseases they were susceptible to. It would also make dating easier knowing what your were getting into after meeting someone. You might have something here!

Something like this may not be too far fetched. The Democrats are pushing for the US to be more like the Europeans e.g., socialized healthcare. In the UK they already take everyone's DNA when any crime is committed, are detained at a police station and even if you are just a suspect in a crime. DNA for children as young as 10 years of age are in the database and over 30,000 DNA records are being added monthly. The current US DNA database only tracks DNA for certain felony offenses such as sexual assault and homicide. We may be heading down this slippery slope...

Most people have guns in their homes to protect themselves from home invasions. SO people can protect themselves and their families in their own homes from scumbag criminals who want to rob, rape, torture, kidnap or murder them. I have been robbed at gunpoiint with a gun resting on my forehead by 3 punkass kids. Be victimized and then tell me how u feel about being helpless....

Go ahead and print my name as a gun owner. Why would anyone come to my house to rob it if they new I owned gun. They could go to the neighbors house who is not a gun owner and rob it much easier.

If that is what you want, build a time machine and go back to 1930's Germany. Nothing you just blabbered about has anything to do with the land of the free. It's not your business, or anybody else's business, what guns I own. Go F$ck yourself, moron.

I can't believe people still think more government is the answer. We saw how useless government is when hurricane Katrina hit, and again when it took over two weeks to plug a 24" hole in the ocean spewing oil. And where were they when the Carnival cruise ship was stranded without power, and thousands of Americans were stuck on board? They were stumbling over themselves trying to figure out how to spend our tax dollars, because that's all that Washington cares about. Not me, not you, money. That's it.

If they knew you were shopping or not at home then your home would be a great target for them as they would already know guns were there for the taking. A little short sighted; must be a politician...

You know what, I've got a better idea. Everybody who is on public assistance; be it welfare, disability, unemployment, medicaid, medicare, you name it; must be put on a public record, including name, address, and phone number if the phone is a government funded phone. Also, grocery store's should have one EBT designated checkout lane, and all other lanes are for people who earn their money.

I bet you lefty's would never go for that, because I guarantee that you're getting at least one of those from your precious government.
