It is a fact, our electric bill is going to increase whether or not the aluminum smelters stay or go. Lets not loose those jobs because Kenergy says our bill will increase.

it is a fact the Electric bill goes up more if they lower prices to aluminum Smelter. Aluminum Smelter is the one that needs to figure out how to lower costs to stay in business. No reason for electric customers to subsidize a private business.

I see where you are coming from. The evidence shows that its not just the aluminum smelters wanting a reduced cost, they just can't afford to stay in business because Big Rivers is already charging them considerably more than the national average. Not only that, Big Rivers is increasing that by $20 per kilowatt in August. That is an increase of millions of dollars.

you must be a company insider, because what you are saying is not accurate at all. Kenergy is already offering them a way below average cost for electricity, and the amount charged was negotiated with the companies and is based on the price of aluminum. There are many, many other costs they need to control to stay profitable. This is nothing but a money grab by a private company that is based on money being grabbed from other kenergy customers.

Does Kenergy cost consumers more than OMU? Is there a map or something online that tells what neighborhoods are served by each?

Google house bill 211. No Century isn't raising your bill!!! They will be still paying Big Rivers for power current transfer fees. All the other plants in hancock county are on open market Century should be allowed this too. I'm not here to argue. Just read house bill 211 please.

Why can,t the coal companies give some on the price of a ton of coal. This effects them to. Power plant does not run no need for there coal.
