Atmore prison escapee recaptured near Magnolia Landfill in Summerdale

Jody Clarke escaped from a prison work camp job at Magnolia Landfill and was recaptured early Wednesday morning by Baldwin County Sheriff's Office deputies and Foley police, according to authorities.

Work release is like the last step before release. It's for non-violent inmates that are nearing release and getting accustomed to the work environment, again. Why in God's name would this guy make a run for it? Makes me wonder if he should have been on work release in the 1st place.
