There you are! Good to " see" you, Jason! And good to know it's the real you....not the crazy Jason imposter troll who went on a spree posting on our old threads this weekend, throwing my name up as many times as she could. Nice to know myself and the rest of you are still on her/his/it's mind....some 10 months after we left that forum, huh? I'm still a stupid, nasty crack head female dog, in case you were worried I recently stumbled on & fell into the pretty pool and soaked up some intelligence & class or something.:-P

Oh, gotta love Topix. Speaking of which... it was exactly 1 year ago today we started forming our QK gang on that faking it thread.

Are you planning on going back OTR in 2015, then, Jason, after you pay back your loans?

Heya WIT ~

The MOA must not be the cheapest place to shop, huh? I've never had the fortune of visiting an American Girl store... the princess is getting her first ( and probably her only) AG doll this Christmas. I always wanted one when I was her age. Maybe someday we'll make it up there & be sure to hit the $ store for refreshments.:)
I hope you had a lovely time with the husband in his roomy house over Thanksgiving. 5-6 hours is highly preferable to 12 in distance from a loved one, for sure.
The kids and I stayed in a 4 star gated resort for vacation. I found out, while down there, that an old friend (ex-bf, actually) from Oboro was in the exact same building with his extended family...so if I needed anything, I knew at least one familiar face I could ask/trust for help. Probably wouldn't hurt to have AAA, though, because I'm helpless with car problems.
Everyone surviving the snow & arctic temps okay? I'm done with winter and it's not even here yet. Ready to pack up and go back to Florida. Not ready for Christmas... but that's nothing new. It's been rough at work lately. One pt trying to die on me...blood sugar dropped 42 points in 30 minutes while I'm pouring OJ down his gullet the whole time between checks...had to call a rapid response on him, another pt whose house burned to the ground (dog inside) while he's in for a stroke that's left him unable to speak, and a 43 year-old pt upstairs coded twice & died the 2nd time in front of his teenage daughter (who lost her mom 6 years ago), when his aortic aneurysm ruptured. Suffice it to say, It hasn't been a banner week around my place if employment, following snow so bad that RNs who actually did make it in were mandated to sleep in empty beds & return to work in 12 hours. I am signed up to work this weekend...a Friday the 13th weekend, with more snow/sleet/ice in the forecast...and a sick girl, sleeping in my bed with a 102+ fever right now, even after ibuprofen. Like I said... I'm ready to migrate. One high note, though, is that I'll be switching back to night shift soon. I have not enjoyed working days since I started & now the kids don't like getting up at 5:30am to be dropped off at their dad's on my way in... so it'll be welcome change for all of us again.:-)
I'm going to try to get some sleep next to my little bed warmer. I hope your fairing much better than we've been, over this way.

I saw that imposter on there. Thought about saying something, but I got more stuff to worry about then them type of idiots. If things goes good and them politicians doesn't keep adding more and more regulations to the trucking industry, I plan on going back to OTR by 2015. I stumbled recently in a pool of stupid by a girl (I used the "girl" term loosely and nicely........for now). But, don't plan to get used again. But nice hearing from you, My Queen!!!!

Hello and Good Morning! Sheesh, this rain is nasty! But it's a great day nonetheless! Good to see a couple posting here and Jason, I think we've all fallen into that pool of stupid. Lol.
My husband is planning to be home before Christmas and not quite sure how long he will stay. Maybe a month or so but I tend to get a little nervous about no paycheck. His job has no extra benefits as you get paid for what you work and nothing else. Anyway he plans to start a treehouse or two for the grand kids so that'll keep him busy. He's like to get a start on the old ford truck he's wanting to build. It's in pieces And parts. A hood here and a fender over there and a ford explorer frame. A challenge for sure.
Castle, glad things are going well with you. I know your kids are ready for Christmas even if you've got a little more shopping to do. My granddaughter has turned into quite the snoop. She even goes under the house to snoop in boxes there. "Under the house" is a 4-5ft space that's clean and warm with lights, and a trap door/ladder in the closet floor. So it's easy to access and she does lol crazy kid!

That may be so, but that.......Jezebel.....took me for nearly $1000 bucks and a cell phone. I told her that as long as we were in a relationship, I wont require her to pay back anything. But should we break up, I would want my phone back and half of what money I gave her. Never received my cell phone or any of the money back, but I did strike revenge, per say. I went down to the cell phone service place and had the cell phone disconnected. Oh, that aint all, I also told the cell phone company to make sure she cant use that phone or switch her info to that phone through them. Basically, the phone I bought for $.99 is useless to her and cant be turned on at all. I'm kinda happy now. Just got to watch out for people who wants to borrow money from me and doesn't pay me back.

I guess the only thing to do is to be happy it didnt last too long. That way, while it was an expensive experience, it could've been much worse. The ole "Thank God and Greyhound she's gone" lol. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hello, dear Queen, this weekend sure flew by!! I wrapped the grand kids a bunch of dollar tree gifts and they will be permitted to open one gift each every day till Christmas. Maybe, just maybe, this will deter little Miss Snoopy from sneaking and opening the real Christmas gifts! We've told her that while it was funny and cute last year, we no longer think it's funny or cute this year. I think she's obsessed with the seek and find.. Crazy girl. Lol

Dunno if I'm still welcome to post here, since I am no longer with Amanda, and haven't been for a while (as most of you probably know).. But I was sittin here on the beach on a company training trip, drinkin and thinkin, remembered this place and thought I would peek in. Good to see you are all doing well, hope the new year has treated you all well. Must say, was wonderful to meet all of you at our galas, those were good times. I am doing well, and out of the car business. Hooked up with a great company, and get to spend a lot of time with my sweetest little angel. Life is good. Always remember, life is too short to not have fun. Be good, or be good at it.

Hey J & Wit ~

It's been rather quiet in the old kingdom, huh? J, you're still part of the crew...not all relationships last &, unless you've personally given me a reason to shun you, I'll still smile & treat you as I always have. I hope the beach was amazing. I miss it. Ahhh...good ol' salt life. Makes me long for our next trip back to the beach in the fall. Just over 5 months to go. It sounds not-so-far away when I say it like that...but...it feels like an eternity until then. The kids went on a cruise with their dad over spring break and, after I introduced them to the silky sand beaches on the gulf side of FL, they didn't want to get off the ship & visit any beaches in Mexico or the Yucatan. Not even to go parasailing with him. There just isn't anything like the gulf coast sand...in my opinion but also the opinion of my kids, apparently.:-) If you're on the Atlantic side, I mean no offense. lol. I've been to both & I'm a gulf girl. I still remember the reaction of the princess the first time she stepped onto it. She had no idea sand could be that soft. They'd only known sand to be the rough, broken up shells of beaches in Mexico or Jamaica.

All this talk of beaches...I'm just tormenting myself now.:-/*le sigh*

On the subject of vacations and beaches - Wit...I hope Hawaii was amazing. I won't even pretend not to be thoroughly envious of that trip. I have wanted to go ever since the day the first mom I nannied for was showing me pictures in her honeymoon scrapbook & noted that there was no humidity in Hawaii. Living in the Ohio Valley my whole life, any place without humidity sounded like paradise to me! Some day, I'll make it. I hope. I'm so glad you had the chance to fly out there and I bet it was wonderful to see family & cherish the time together.

My brother is currently in Austria for work. All this talk of beaches and vacations, man, I'm itching to get the heck out of...here.(You know where 'here' is.) He has gotten to see the world on his company's dime...oh, if only MY job paid me to jet set to some of the most beautiful countries & cities of the world. Russia, Tokyo, London (multiple times), Ireland, Austria, Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Chile, Hawaii, Phillipines, Edmonton...not to mention FL & CA many times and other states I've never made it to...like New York, Utah, Colorado, Washington, etc. I feel so 'small' in comparison - but I guess we cannot all be world travelers. I suppose that's one good thing about being single without kids...he doesn't have any guilt when he travels & isn't missing any big life moments like I would, if I was flying from country to country throughout the year, while my kids had to stay put and go to school.

Geez. Obviously, I was not tormented enough thinking about Florida...I had to go & ramble another whole paragraph about other places I haven't been or seen but wish so desperately that I could. I suppose one solution to that would be to marry a billionaire with his own jet, hire some tutors and just travel from continent to continent, on a whim, whenever we pleased. Alas, I don't know any single billionaires with private jets looking to marry a single mom with kids - even if she does bake like a boss. In my defense, it is near 4am on my one night off in a 4 day stretch (I switched back to night shift in January) & I have nobody else to talk or type to at the moment. I do, however, have a couple loads of laundry I should probably plunge into while the laundry room is unoccupied.

Best wishes to all of you, wherever you are. I hope life has been treating you each as kindly as it has me (and mine).:-) Maybe, just maybe...someday we can all arrange another gala. Those were, indeed, good times. Laughing until one's face hurts...or until the DMD comes shooting out your nose...I'm down for that any day! ;-)

Hello! Good to see you post!! Hawaii was great, of course. We both enjoyed the trip then it was back to work but this time not NEPA. Now he's only 5 hours away, not 12.

Austria. Lol. We were in a wonderful hotel there and went for a stroll in the town. Lots of charm! The cathedral was beautiful and huge! The church bells started pealing and people started walking towards the church. I convinced my husband to go in the church with me. We didnt understand the language but we could sit there and enjoy. We went, we sat, we enjoyed, we realized--we were at a funeral!!(DMD time..lol)

Sounds like everything is going well for you and the kids. I know it was a lot of stress at first but things are working out well. Your brother must have a most interesting job to be able to do all that traveling . My passport needs to be used more often!:-)

The galas were great and I'd love to go to another one!!*sigh* I haven't really talked to anyone for quite awhile but now that its spring I'd try another chance for a walk in the park...in a couple of weeks?

Hope all the crew is doing great and hope they touch base....

Everything is going good for me for right now. Still with the same job. Almost caught up in bills from being in the "ho" (pun intended) since October of last year.

In other news, I am a new father to a 9 month old baby girl. Didn't know for sure until after Christmas. So, along with a 14 year old son and a 12 year old daughter, I got a 9 month old daughter.

Glad to hear that some of our friends in our room are doing very good.

Keep in touch!!!!!

Hey, Jason! Congrats on the new baby girl!
It sounds like you're headed into a great summer and .. Don't those babies steal your heart? I bet the older two spoil it rotten!..and that's a good thing!
Our new g'baby is tiny. 6 weeks and 7 pounds, but he's precious!
If some sort of gala works out, be sure to come!
