No, but Rider's closed it's doors Monday,IGA is buying the store, heard they was opening in 3-4 weeks. We need a Sav-a-lot or Fast Food!!

I would like to know for a fact if Upton is getting IGA Or A SAVE_ALOT... I wish they would quit beating around the bush and tell people.. What's the big deal...

iga did buy the store they announced it to the workers and they have to go to other iga's and get training and they are now gonna have insurance, vision, and other coverages so i think it will be a good change for upton and the people there

So, there going to have the same workers? I hope so. Anita, in the meat department, and Corrine, on the cashier was always friendly. The other employees were just as friendly as well, just don't know there names.[:

IGA DID buy the stores assets, debts, fixtures, shelves, etc. They are going to build a new store on the lot directly behind country charm cafe, which will be accessible from Hwy-224, just before the dollar store. Personally I believe that Bill and the staff from Rider's, will be employed there, upon opening. I like Bill, and the folks that worked there, and I hope that this is an even better opportunity for all involved.

u can not get a right of way off 224 or bill sullivan would have done it on the other side of the road

IGA bought the entire store. the shelves, the leftover stock, everything. the grand opening date is scheduled for the 5th of November and it is in the exact same spot as riders was, no changes except for new registers new shelves and new brands,and maybe a few new employees.

IGA did not buy the building , Larry still owns the building. Most of the employees is still there including Bill. We're all getting excited about opening day. Hope to see all the customers back when we open. This is great for the employees, as well for Upton !!!!
