A very dear friend and colleague was killed in this accident. Gail C. Cook will surely be missed! It is said that the person who hit her head on was in so much of a rush (or so intoxicated) that he broke all of the rules of the road!!!

Gail you will surely be missed! My condolences goes out to her family.

Hello,
My boyfriend of 5 years was the man driving in this accident. We have an 11 month old son who will be one in three weeks. We don't live together because I lost my job and he had been working six days a week to take care of us. He was in a rush only because he was tired and trying to get home soon, he wasn't intoxicated. I am cannot tell you how sorry I am for Ms. Cook, I have been trying to find time and words to say to the family but I cannot. Please know that he was a beautiful person and a loving father who was so excited to see his son grow up. Please also know that he is incredibly sorry for this as well. I hope Ms. Cook and her family can forgive him. God Bless you, I understand if you are still upset.

I, too, loved Gail and will miss her light. Our lives are forever changed by this Divine Appointment. Each of us have a Divine Appointment. Truthfully none of us know the day or the hour or for that matter how our Divine Appointment will come about. We can't even remember being born into this human experience. Let us hold the light and love for Ms. Gail and Mr. Smith and the 3rd person who's hospitalized. Each one of these souls brought us something and left us something, love, laughter, memories, advice, and perhaps the perfect smile at the just right moment. Take a moment to honor and cherish the love they shared with us, hold a place in your heart, and let's live each moment from your highest mountain. Gail, we hold the light and bless your journey. We know you will forever live in our hearts and in the Spirit.

Friendships tend to sometimes even be more deep than family. The saying we can choose our friends but we can't choose our family comes to mind quite often. When you make a connection with a person whom we enjoy talking to, confiding in and sharing our most inner thoughts we are deeply united in a way that we may never be with our family. Gail was one of my very best friends and she will be definitely missed but not forgotten.

Love you more!

I am the brother of Gail Cook. Please know that our family does not place blame and forgiveness is not needed. God in his infinite wisdom decided their work here on earth was done. As we mourn the loss of our loved one, we know that you too are grieving. You and your family are in our prayers. Sincerely, Darrin Cook, SR
