I know who it was. It was my best friends son. A guy shot him in the head 6 times. He was having some kind of problem with someone else so this guy came out of no where and started shooting. Brian was a real nice person and would give his shirt off his back to help anyone. That is who Brian was!

1 Brian was my girlfriend's neighbor. I did not know him well, but had chatted with him here and there on a few occasions. He was a nice guy. I can't believe how senseless this crime seems. For what? Now a mother is without a son, and a son is without a father. What did the murderer get? A place in hell waiting for him, and hopefully a place in a jailcell for the rest of his time here. For what? This is so sad. Rest in Peace Brian. |

Then why don't you do your duty and turn that person in. Do you want a murderer running around your streets, I sure don't!! People need to stop being cowards and start standing up to the THUGS and help put their butts behind bars. |

I heard the bouncer Mario is who he was fighting with when someone else jumped in and shot the guy int he chest while laying on the ground the THUG walked up and shot him in the head. They are saying that witnesses aren't talking but someone must be for me to hear about this and I don't even go to this bar. I wonder if they police have been notified about the bouncers involvement.

I believe she was referring to knowing the victim, not the murderer.

I figured that out after I posted. My apologies.

does anyone know of any leads in the case? another article said Brian was part owner of the bar?

Brian was my neighbor. He was very sweet and always smiling. He was always playing with his son and helping his mother. How could someone take an innocent life? He had so much life left to live. My sympathy goes out to the family who has lost a son, a father, a brother, a grandson.

Brian was an old friend of mine too and was a really cool guy. He had escaped death before and I wish this was another story he could have lived and talked about. I agree with you Vegas, this piece of #@&* that owns the bar probally knows more than what he's saying. I am hearing the same story as you concerned citizen. I think this bouncer Mario or as some people call him O knows more than what he's saying too. It's just sad that Brian's son will grow up with out his father. This county just seems like it's getting worse every year.

I was born and raised in Upper Marlboro, and I have seen significant changes for the worse. How is it that the average cost of homes is 300 G's and up in this area and things like this happen? Really simple explanation - T-H-U-G-S. Before new management stepped in, there was Coke and other drugs at Wyvill's...always has been. Jeff Wyvill (previous owner) was no saint and was probably very aware of the shady exploits that took place in his bar. The new owners look like the stepped it up a notch and it is sad that we, as a society, let these types of people in our community. We should hold the owners of the bar personally accountable for any dealings that go on there. The GANGSTERS have taking over Wyvills, we cannot get rid of them without cutting off the head of the problem...Wyvill's present owners. We need to go after the IRRESPONSIBLE owners of this bar. Get the drugs out of this area! I am sad to see Upper Marlboro go the way of Capital heights, District Heights, Landover, Forrestville, and any other area of PG that touches the beltway. WE NEED TO STAND UP SOMETIME, or we will loose this community too!

The death of my friend was tragic loss and a unforgiveable chain of events but to hold the owners of the club at fault just simply isn't fair. I know for a fact that JOHN NOEL was not there nor responsible for the death of his friend and he would like to grieve for the loss without everyone blaming him like he was the shooter. Brian came to the bar to see his friend JOHN who wasn't there yet JOHN has been friends with Brian for over 15 years he came to the wake in a limo because of the constant threats he was recieving in his supposed involvement he donated 500 dollars to help with the burial services and has been cooperating with the police to help find this killer. You cannot blame the actions of ONE idiot or try to make the victim who was high on PCP at the time of the incident a reflection of the bar owners who regardless of their past are trying to do something better for their futures.I am a personal friend of both parties and I know that Brian would not want anyone blaming his friend for his murder.REST IN PEACE BRIAN AND GOD BLESS YOUR SON.

I don't blame him for the murder. I blame him for attracting GHETTO THUGS into the area that COMMITTED THE MURDER. Wyvill's never had this problem before. You didn't have to be patted down on the way in back in the day. THE OWNERS TOLERATE THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE. Go to Grizzly's which is 15 minutes down the road. You won't see any gangsta's there. You will see people of all colors, good people. Do you know why this is? Because when the idiot Wanna-Be Rappers Thugs show up...they kick them out. Upper Marlboro will only go to crap if we let it. One bar/Community center/Neighborhood at a time, it will begin to resemble SE DC.

is this the bar thats in the little shopping center off 301 south behind the car dealership? I have been out of that area for over 20 years and cant remember if it is or not. I remember there was a Joes Pizza next door back when I was living near there also, the A&P was there. If it is the same place does anyone remember the name before Wyvills bought it or has it always been called that? Back then the place was pretty quiet, just a normal club/bar not much went on, I was old enough to drink then but went to Starlights in College Park instead. RIP Brian, prayers to the families.

i have been a customer of 301 bar and grille (formerly known as Wyvill's tavern for about 6 months now and i truly dont think that the new owners are to blame for this horrible incident that took place.
in my opinion... the establishment feels safe with the security there, the place looks like its being renovated for a more enjoyful atmosphere and the food is WONDERFUL! I still come there since the shooting took place and I dont see this "thuggish"enviornmen t that i hear some people on this forum mentioning...never have! The news said that the man was killed OUTSIDE (not inside or in front of )the bar when the bar was closed for the night. It dosent sound like a conspiracy,it sounds like a typical tragedy that happens sadly... Hopefully the cops will catch this killer so the victims family can have some closeure...but i think that we have a responsibility as people to not judge a person without fact . |

1 You are weak and afraid. You need a bullet, many bullets, because you know that a human is defenseless against multiple bullets cutting through their body. You know nothing of being a man. You the coward! You the murderer! You will answer to GOD for the senseless murder of Brian Comploier. GOD saw Brian helplessly dying with YOU shooting him over and over. You will also be judged by GOD for taking away a big part of his son's life and the rest of his family's lives. Step up, turn yourself in. Be judged, instead of running as a coward. |
