unless your saying using a drone for drug interdiction and illegals crossing our borders is a bad idea.
so the objection you raise has no real merit.
there is no real difference from a drone or a aircraft or helicopter except in the cost of operation.
the courts have ruled on aircraft being used,it is quite legal.
Drones flying over private property and collect data should require a warrant.

Publicly owned lands is different, there is not expectation of privacy there.

Well, unless you are a cop, because try to video them and they think that deserves a beatdown, or arrest. They say you are 'interfering' even if you are 100 yards away.

The border is public and drone patrol there is necessary. I doubt anyone has an issue with that.

The issue is drones warrantlessly flying over private property and collecting data.

Federal Income Taxes on Middle-Income Families Remain Near Historic Lows
By Chuck Marr
Updated April 2, 2012
Federal taxes on middle-income Americans are near historic lows,[1] according to the latest available data.
That’s true both for federal income taxes and total federal taxes.[2]
Income taxes:
A family of four in the exact middle of the income spectrum will pay only 5.6 percent of its 2011 income in federal income taxes, according to a new analysis by the Urban Institute-Brookings Institution Tax Policy Center.[3]
Average income tax rates for these typical families have been lower during the Bush and Obama Administrations than at any time since the 1950s, as Figure 1 shows.
(As discussed below, 2009 and 2010 were particularly low because of the temporary Making Work Pay Tax Credit.)
Overall federal taxes:
Overall federal taxes — which include income as well as payroll and excise taxes — on middle-income households are near their lowest levels in decades, according to the latest data from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

1) You still don't know the difference between taxable income & gross income.

2) We all pay the same rates on our regular income from the same chart.

3) The idea that some income get special treatment is an issue - capital gains & dividends.

Note that there is no Occupy Wall Street protest at Facebook headquarters.
Just as there are none at Oprah’s house or the residence of Leonardo DiCaprio, despite their take each year of between $50 and $100 million.
No one has suggested that Hollywood lower movie-ticket prices by asking Johnny Depp or Jennifer Lopez to walk away with $10 or $20 million less a year.
Steve Jobs found ways to dodge taxes comparable to those deployed by any Wall Street fatcat, but he was iPad cool, and so his iPhone billions were exempt from the Occupy nonsense.
Cool capitalists are immune from the neo-Marxist critique of capitalism — a racket that $40 billion–rich Warren Buffett learned late in life, but well enough, with the “Buffett Rule.”
We simply don’t mind that Google and Amazon rake in billions, but we despise Exxon and Archer Daniels Midland for doing the same.
It is not that we need social networking and Internet searches more than food and fuel, but rather that we have the impression that cool zillionaires in flipflops are good while uncool ones in wingtips are quite bad.

Facebook & Apple did not get bailed out, nor did Johny Depp.

Facebook & Apple did not receive government subsidies & neither did Johnny Depp.

"The new report indicates that, women’s poverty rate in the United States stands at 14.5 percent which means that over 17 million people live in poverty.

According to the report, a minimum number of over 15 million American children live below the poverty line -- the highest in roughly a decade -- while the extreme poverty level stands at 6.3 percent.

The report added that a total of one million American children have been added to the US poor population in a one-year period from 2009 to 2010 alone.

Analysts consider the deteriorating economy and the financial stagnancy the US is facing, as one of the main reasons of the sharp increase in the number of street children to 1.6 million, showing a 33-percent boost compared to 2007."

Another Obama 'accomplishment'?

The designed implosion of our economy and theft of real American wealth is at full throttle.

I guess these people were overlooked by the 'Obama stimulus', I guess they account for some of the record food stamp recipients.

Budget Office:
Obama's Stimulus Failed on Jobs
In a blow to the Obama administration, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has concluded that the president’s economic stimulus plan created fewer jobs than expected and “crowds out” private investment.
A new report the CBO released on Tuesday finds that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act may have boosted the economy in the short run by sustaining some 700,000 jobs at its peak in 2010 but “will reduce output slightly in the long run — by between 0 and 0.2 percent after 2016.”
The report estimates that the total number of jobs the plan produced was far fewer than the 3.5 million the Obama administration predicted during the peak of spending.
The CBO estimates that the stimulus is responsible for sustaining between 600,000 to 1.8 million jobs during this quarter, which lowered the nation’s unemployment rate by as much as 1 percent.
In July, the conservative Weekly Standard estimated that Obama’s stimulus package had cost taxpayers $278,000 for every job it created.

Of course not all the stimulus was geared toward job creation.

If we spend 10 million on a bridge that employs ten people, I guess you think each guy gets a million dollars. Or do you think we got a bridge in the process.

and how is that different than an airplane doing the same job.
the courts have ruled that it is legal.
and what of private property next to the border?
nothing wrong with drones.
as to private property if you dig a 4 inch ditch they will know of it.
radar mapping from orbit has had that capability for years.
the government would have no real interest in your ditch so the point is moot.
there are plenty of data collecting packages over most cities for years.

A thourough background check would have caught that.

I am more afraid of a criminal government than any terrorist, look into history once and awhile, you will find that governments have killed more way more people that terrorist ever will.

Are we really free if our private poperty can be surveilled at anytime without warrant? NO

Are we really free if we have to go through naked body scanners and be groped at the airports - NO!

Pre-911 airport security measures would have found these as well, the naked body scanner would not if it was outside of the body in a pocket, which has been demostrated to TSA.

Metal detectors and luggage screenings are enough, the naked body scanners are just a cash cow for the government cronies.

Maybe these people were arming themselves instead a terrorist was on board.

A group of trained men can take down a plane without any weapons, besides their bare hands. Grow up, THERE are NOT terrorist trying to take planes down, it is all media and government created histeria.

You are beinmg acclimated to give up your civil rights and liberties under the guise of security.

No. Democracy only works when the electorate is well informed. When people are so uninformed that they believe that there is no difference between Obama and Romney, it would be better for democracy if they just stayed home.
