Drexeline Store changes the name, but the same high prices exist. Still selling outdated dairy items. The store is small and dirty. Disgrace!
Oh and that nasty Shoprite smell has arrived! Super!

The Fresh Grocer physical conditions were pre-existing before ShopRite took over.

You should be HAPPY that ShopRite has taken over this store and has begun the transition process for more name brand and store products, better prices, service and a GREAT REPUATATION.

ShopRite has been around for over 60 plus years, obviously they KNOW what they are doing and how to keep their customers happy and coming back to shop at 160 plus store locations.

you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig
that store is need of a major remodel it is truly a dump compared to the Giant just up the street
You are blinded by the stench that is Shoprite. Visit Giant then compare the two stores.
the Company that runs Giant has been around since 1887.

Happy that Shoprite took over?
F U Shoprite is a dirty smelly creepy store where the employees are the ones that get fired from the major retailers and the union finds them homes in these stores.
the ones that they hire are the thiefs and trouble makers the unions can't find jobs or save their jobs for, they are turds.
IE don't steal from the safe......

Wakefern/ShopRite was created to have local ownership, who reside in nearby communities, to sell the best quality product at the lowest price possible. Wakefern has "spotters", who methodically check every store in our huge network on a continuous basis, to ensure all shoppers that no matter which SR, PriceRite, or Fresh Grocer they choose, be it in Connecticut or down to Maryland, it will have the same highest standards of the industry.

Then I assume they have been to the store in the Drexeline Shopping Center. It has not been remodeled since it was an ACME.
Other than changing the sign, its the same place.

shoperite of drexil hill is a dump. went there today never going back. they should be ashamed of that place. had terrible odor waited way to long for two items at deli counter. the people who work there are unhappy and make it seem like a bother to wait in you.it was bad enough when it was the fresh grocer but worse. I will go back to the one in overbrook much cleaner staff very plesant. good luck to anyone who goes there.

With the right amount of money for the health inspector everybody can get a clean bill of health.
Check out Astra Foods on Market St, whats that stench coming from that place? It reminds me of the smell from Shop Rite stores.

It's great to hear from you Mayor, and you are always speaking the truth.
We sure could use you in these parts.
Best wishes.

You people are seriously sheltered if you think Drexeline is a) small (seriously, small?), b) ghetto (don't act like that's not what you were implying), or c) anything other than a solid grocery store with a great selection, something Fresh Grocer pretty much started before any of the other grocers.

You're just saying what you WANT it to be from your damn ivory towers. My only problem with ShopRite is that the brand makes the area seem a lot more low-income when it isn't. Also, if you think that's because of Upper Darby I suggest you look UP state Road and see what's on the Springfield side. Walmart, career institutes, beauty school, etc etc. Step into reality.
