Well, having served some time in NCP I can say the medical staff is incompetent (par for the course when dealing with this administration) and this is no surprise. The women's facility is better maintained, so I'm lucky in that way when MRSA is concerned. But the medical staff gave me a medication I was allergic to and I had to be put on an IV, I lost 80 lbs. in a matter of months (I wouldn't suggest trying this diet program)and just as a matter of public concern they never checked me for lice before I was admitted to the prison, and they never checked my TB test --- so I would say that is fairly incompetent, and socially irresponsible. That prison and it's staff from top to bottom needs an overhaul, especially if the same administration is to run the 300 bed work/rehab facility to be built in the future.

Yes, wow if only all those convicts heard those four words, then we wouldn't have crime. Look, if you can't make a valid intelligent point on topic then maybe you shouldn't waste your time making any comment.

And if you've ever been to Burger King or McDonald's look whose making your meal - 99% are hired from work release in NCP... so if they have MRSA, lice, or TB - and the medical staff in jail leaves it untreated, then it certainly becomes a problem for you and the rest of society.

Look at it this way mental moron, Taxpayers foot the bill for these "problems". And pay for the law suits, win or lose. Of course it is much bigger when the convicts win!!!

Seriously, I was thinking, does this deserve a response...well since you have no cohesive argument or any argument really at all... then no... I guess not. I'm a convict with a Bachelors degree from a first tier school... so, mental moron...feel free to solve our recidivism rate problem in Northampton County, I think you would be just perfect. I'd love to hear more.

I aree with you 100%. No one deserves to be neglected medically. My son was in the prison about 8 months and has had these things on his legs for just about the whole entire time he was there. Large red sores with whitehead looking centers, itchy and sore. The nurse would look at it and one time gave him a blue pill that cleared it up for a short time and then returned. Hes 18 and really didnt press the issue as I would have. He just outfew days ago now im gonna make sure he gets proper medical attention. He could have died and its just not right...
