Currently sitting on the eastbound Metrolink at Claremont station waiting to see if we will be allowed to proceed. People, if you see the flashing red lights and the arms lowering...just wait the 2 to 3 minutes until the train has passed.

Conductor just passed by counting the # of passengers. That's not an encouraging sign. Are they going to bring buses?

We appreciate your warning but MOST of these pedestrians that get struck by a train do it on purpose...

Why do newspapers and news stations continue to make it seem as if trains are indiscriminately running people over! Bad train!
How about changing the title to "Man Walks on Train Tracks in Front of Metrolink; Dies".

Because that wouldn't fit their Liberal agenda of showing that all government entities or government run operations, directly run or funded by, are inherently evil and at fault for all that happens in the world. Personal responsibility is incomprehensible to those in the media and especially the daily bulletin, it can only be the governments fault. If not for the evils of government, there would not have been a train to run this dimwit over, so it MUST be their fault

No such 'luck' on my part. My child was raised better than that.

Simple-- Tunnels. No more traffic snarls. No more accidents involving trains and pedestrians or cars. Simple. Better yet: busses. The Trillions spent on inefficient trains in LA could have SOLVED the traffic problems on our streets and freeways with efficient, low cost nat gas busses that stop anywhere and everywhere at all and dependable times of day and night. But that wouldn't serve the special interests who wanted to waste billions and billions on a service that runs occasionally in one straight line (making it useless to most) and is half empty and now losing money. Stupid, but what do you expect... voters get the government they deserve, as its "by the people" that we get the elected officials who serve their corporate masters/donors. Simple.

So your answer is to spend billions and billions more on perpetual tunnels on every train line? You're a genious.
