I am a project manager in construction and been using a cell phone for 15yrs. Chk. my driving record no accidents related to cell phone use. I will buy a permit that let's me use the cell phone. 15yrs it's a habit of my life and you are going to fine me for conducting my buisness of life because there are people out there that can't chew gum and walk! How ignorent are people who try to text while driving! I know better please give me a permit to use. It's not fare to us that have the common sense God gave a goose! By the way I've had 4 wrecks in 15yrs. 3 not my fault 1 yes. Taking my eye's off the road looking at a job I completed yrs. earlier! YR 2000.

Sorry to say it, people cannot focus on their cell phones. Driving in Downtown Fort Worth and Dallas proves that point daily. Many times, I see them speeding then getting right behind a person just to have something to "follow." Most people do not realize they are doing this and cause many problems for other drivers. I am guilty of using my cell phone while driving, which let me notice everyone has some problems driving when using a cell phone. I completely support any bans on cell phone use in cars and think people should use blue tooth though the car or ear piece.

The worst problem is young people texting while driving. I have seen so many STUPID teenage girls thinking that they have to talk to people every second and almost hitting people constantly. These teens do not think they are doing anything wrong and need smart city leaders to tell them it is not okay.

I cannot wait for the day when all cell phones are banned from cars, and I think all these stupid drivers are getting us closer to that daily!

Ok, how about we don't fine you for using your phone, but when you hit and kill someone, we lock you up for murder.

That sounds like a better plan to me anyway.

I can beat this. There's a video on break.com of a guy on a MOTORCYCLE, leaned back, driving with his feet and texting.
