Over the year, the biggest changes have been that as Las Cruces has scrawled out of control, police services became less and less effective.

Today, Las Cruces is a de facto "no enforcement" zone for almost all traffic safety laws...and it shows in how people drive: most drivers speed, run red lights and otherwise ignore more traffic safety laws.

In fact, I often go all week without seeing a single LCPD police car anywhere I am driving. They can't all be out investigating THE one murder or the handful of rapes that happen each year.

New City Council needs a new City Manager then alot of these issues would not be happening...when is the council going to "smarten-up"...proba bly when they get a new city attorney ..the current one has misled this council to the point they are not following the city charter which is the will of the people.

If Romero instead of denying any wrongs in LCPD and blaming city government for being anti-police instead of recognizing that anyone who knows what's going on is anti-LCPD, simply becouse it's corrupted, crooked, useless bunch of loosers, not becouse they dont like police, then who knows, then again, how could he change himself?????
