Didnt work with Myke....but when he passed through to get to work in the mornings he was very pleasant and cheerful unlike most of the employees coming through at Odark30...My prayers goes out to his friends and family. I am truly sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Myke.

Too bad all of Myke's friends either didn't encourage him either to wear a helmet or chip in to buy him one. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happens when you crash on a motorcycle at any rate of speed and your head and face strike stationary objects. But this is too sensible for the wandering hearts who are so wrapped up in Myke's death, rather than taking responsibility while he was still prancing around alive. Perhaps his estate won't be charged with replacing the state property he destroyed in his big exit.

You Know...For whatever reason...which I am clueless as to why, MOST of them won't wear a helmet even if they own one. I don't get it! If MOTORISTS are to wear seatbelts to prevent deaths, why is it that we don't have a law for helmets. I won't even get on a motorcycle, they are way to dangerous. Especially with the NON-driving AZZEZ in this city. The principal from Cesar Chavez was killed a few years back the same way, but he had been drinking that night. To this mans family..what a tragedy. I feel for all of you. It was an unexpected death and those are really hard to deal with. If you motorcyclists care and love your families...put on a helmet!

Have rode with Myke a couple of times. Was always aware of his surroundings. Always was talking about his daughter. I will miss the rides we shared, with & without a helmet. He was a good man, and a co-worker with my husband Cal. He will me missed. My condolences to the family.

A good man is dead ,take your self righteous and totally self serving "helmet" comments and fill your pie hole with your irrelevant hypocritical law and order ramblings till you choke!

No helmet. Death from severe head trauma. Why wasn't this guy issued a Darwin Award? "Alcohol was not a contributing factor." However, there's no mention of him being checked other recreational substances. Given that modern "stoner" culture in the U. S. today, I'd wager even odds that this guy was consuming something interesting before he literally hit the road. If he was on recreational substances at the time of the crash, should he get a second Darwin Award?

It's too bad Jessie's parents weren't educated on birth control. Have you ever thought for one second that those who are riding know full well what could happen? Just like you have a right to your choice to spew dumba** remarks - it's our right to choose to wear a helmet. Why is it when these accidents happen, people like you come out of the woodworks? Are you aware that it's possible to be killed if you are wearing a helmet? What would your callous remarks be if he had been wearing one? You don't get on a bike, and that's your choice. People don't always wear seatbelts, and they certainly don't always buckle even their own children in a child seat, but it's possible to be killed in a vehicle accident while wearing a seatbelt too. I agree with you on one thing though, you are clueless. Amazed_n_LC wrote: You Know...For whatever reason...which I am clueless as to why, MOST of them won't wear a helmet even if they own one. If he was on recreational substances at the time of the crash, should he get a second Darwin Award? Maybe he was maybe he wasn't. I for one do not judge someone based on whether or not they were wearing a helmet. Seems like this guy was a nice person, based on other comments.--- good enough for me. Rest in peace, Myke, whoever you were, and may your family find peace and consolation. You paid a high price for not wearing a helmet and others should not be judgemental. For the rest of you, if you are pro-helmet, anti-helmet, whatever, it doesnt matter. You should stand up for what you believe in, just be cool about it on these forums, trust me the family will read your comments and they don't deserve to be hurt more by you. So, if you really feel strongly about helmet laws, etc. man up and do something materially significant about it instead of putting someone down after they are dead and gone, unable to defend themselves.
