WHAT'S NEW: Zeffiro Pizzeria to open second location

In early January, the Downtown Las Cruces restaurant Zeffiro Pizzeria Napoletana and Popular Artisan Bread Bakery will celebrate its one-year anniversary.

Zeffiro has the best bread in Las Cruces, without a doubt. I love stopping in there on a Saturday morning after checking out the Farmer's Market, windows all steamed up, and practically getting knocked over by the delicious smell of fresh bread baking when you walk in the door. Love that place!

Zeffiro's/Popular makes and uses a lot of dough, and the owners are hands on and hard working. They deserve their success, and I'm glad they'll be on University. A little closer to my house!
