I am representing a 56 year old female who was stopped at a MHP check point one night outside of Batesville. She had a valid drivers license, insurance card, tag and inspection sticker. He apparently thought she had been drinking. He forcefully pulled her out of the car and handcuffed her and threw her around. She is 5 foot 4 inches, 125 pounds. He is about 6 foot 3inches 280 pounds. He charged her with obstructing traffic, 2 counts of disorderly conduct and 2 counts of resisting arrest. Commonly referred to as stacking the charges. When she arrived at the sheriff's department she blew 0.00. Video and audio recording of the arrest were destroyed by the officers involved. I was able to get the charges dismissed. I have discovered a pattern of this type of behavior in the surrounding area. I am interested in knowing if there are other stories like this.

Some time ago I recall seeing something about a local HP officer on Craigslist, Rants and Raves?, not sure where. I see I have saved a file page from Craigslist re Robert Hamblin, working Lafayette County, November 10, 2012, but I can't open it. Perhaps you can do a search around that time period and come up with something.
