This Facility is great! I went there in June 2012 with crippling pain and walked out pain free. Everyone there is so friendly and professional. The facility is top notch. I would recommend this place to anybody with back pain.

In the past 4 past four years, I had three surgeries at LSI in Tampa. It was like a miracle. Soon after surgery, I was up and walking, and driving, no pain whatsoever, no even from the surgery. Only once,I had to take pain pills after surgery, but not for too long.
My problem was complex. I had problem of spondioolosis all along my spine, plus rheumatoid arthritis. Yet, after the surgeries, I was in heaven and back to my normal activities, including gardening and bowling.
The Laser surgery is almost non invading, It is localized and treats the main cause of the pain. It is just common sense that if one has an extra problem along the spine, another surgery is required to take care of it.
I'm 77 years old, and thanks to LSI I can take care of myself without any need of help from others. I recommend LSI to everyone who wants to know.
P.S. After surgery, I followed to the t what they told me to do. Applied ice to the small incision and walked, walked, walked. And walked since then.

I had cervical surgery April 2010. I had chronic pain and symptoms from a car accident that was over ten years ago. I woke up after surgery feeling 100% better and still do today! The surgery changed my life! Thank you LSI!

I visited LSI this week in Tampa after a friend told me about the amazing results he had over a year ago at LSI. The staff was amazing! From the time I walked in the door everyone was so professional. I did all of my pre opp appointments and will have my surgery in two weeks due to scheduling conflicts on my end. I left feeling very confinet in this faculty and am looking forward being pain free!

I guess I am the sixth post on this site and it may correspond to the percentage of people happy and unhappy with LSI. Like the rest of you, I was very impressed with LSI till something went wrong. A week after my surgery, the disk where I had had my surgery started to herniate till half my nerves and muscles below my waist went numb. This happened on a weekend and I was in excruciating pain despite taking a lot of pain pills. If I had known that LSI did not provide "after care" for their patients when something goes wrong, I would have immediately checked myself in to a hospital. Do you know that the doctors at LSI in Tampa have no agreements with in patient hospitals such as Tampa General? This means that if anything goes wrong, you had better find yourself another doctor quickly to take care of you...and hopefully a real neurosurgeon...not just a regular doctor in a field other than neurosurgery who went to school to learn how to operate the LSI laser and cutting tools.
LSI, after many phone calls, and three weeks, agreed to bring me back in for an mri, which showed the herniated disk L4. Guess who looked at the mri? It was not the doctor who cut on me. It was a doctor who specialized in physical therapy. She said: "Gee, I wonder why Dr. Wolff did not see that." So I said, can someone fix it. She said I would have to go talk to the finance people who promptly told me that it would cost over $70,000 out of my pocket.
Do you know that Medicare does not cover LSI?
I eventually went to a real neurosurgeon, who fused L3/4/5, immediately relieving me of the tremendous pain I had been experiencing. This is now eight months later and unfortunately, I am still numb below the waist. I have recovered somewhat but don't know if I'll ever completely recover. For anyone reading this who is considering LSI,
I truly wish you luck....I know LSI had had successes, I just hope you do not become one of the failures because they will not take care of you. Why should they bother? They make a lot of money off their successful surgeries and they are not worried about lawsuits because of the medical injury caps in Florida. I thought I had an extremely strong case and I cannot get a lawyer to agree to represent me. I did file a complaint with the Florida department of health and that is in progress. Good luck and I'll answer any question anyone might have.

Surprised Wolff made it that long--I suspect he's fouled up a lot of folks.

He probably has but the Florida Department of Health is about to let him skate one more time on my complaint. The complaint review process involves another orthopedic surgeon...and my impression is that it's all about doctors protecting doctors than protecting the regular Joes like us. Arizona did get smart and revoked his license but I think Florida is going to let him ride. It's a good deal for the governor...LSI provides plenty of green jobs and they pay taxes. Why would they want to mess that up?

Had their so called surgery in nov 07, Biggest nightmare of my life. Had to be put on SSI disability shortly after their procedure. Had to put up 30k out of pocket. I informed them that this was most of my retirement and could not afford to lose it. They told me not to worry that BCBS would reimburse the entire amount. After over two years of fighting with ins co received only 6k. I asked them about their assurance to which they basically said tough luck. The steroid injections they gave during the operation helped for a month or two. After they wore off was back as bad or worse than ever. Shortly after the operation I regretfully told a friend of mine about them. His financial results were similar to mine but his physical results were even worse. He has had three operations trying to clean up their hatchet job. My surgeon was Craig Wolff. I later found out that he had been punished for operating on the wrong side of someone. I would recommend that anyone considering these so called surgeons go to Bloomberg and search Laser Spine Institute to see the story they did on this scam. I could go on and on about this scam but will leave it at this. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Also be aware that LSI has shills on their payroll to post positive stories about them so take the positive stories with a grain of salt. These people will say anything for money.
