FYI, I had an oil change at the Jiffy Lube today. They tried to persuade me I needed transmission flush, coolant flush, air filter, fuel filter, etc etc etc. I understand this is part of most of these operations MO. I indicated to them that the air filter was changed one month ago, and everything else was good as I was going to trade the vehicle in soon. I was then given the sales pitch for high mileage oil @ 70+ dollars, again I reiterated my intent to trade in and all I needed was the 38.00 oil change. I was then informed that I needed two signal lights replaced and it would be 14.00. OK, I caved in and agreed to have them replace the 2 (supposedly bad) signal lights...should have made them show me they were bad, but I didn't. So, they get done and I go to pay the bill for the 38.00 oil change and the 14.00 bulb change expecting to be charged around 55 dollars or so, The bill was 75.00. I complained and they knocked off 10.00 and it was 65.00 for a standard oil change and 2 light bulbs. Lesson learned...fool me once shame on you...wont be going back. It was a very shady and shabbily run business...shop at your own risk.

I've always had doubts about those places. I think the last time I entered one of those places was back in the early eighties.

Odd
They have always been very kind to my family and I. Not sure if they still offer it but they used to offer a military and or Firefighter discount.
One thing that I was always impressed with was that I could send my daughters to them for thier oil changes and they never ripped them off.
I was impressed.
Just my take, and no, I don't work there.

Find a mom and pops mechanic shop to get your oil changes and your car serviced . most of these corporate companies everyone is commission so everybody's looking to make a buck. Do not take into Randolph tire center the stupid guy behind the counter with the white hair owens the shop . He is a idiot . he's just there to take your money he has no clue about cars and how they work he's a piece of shit.
