Better driver training would have prevented this. The schools must do a better job of training young students.

The SCHOOLS? Isn't it the parents responsibility to insure their kids are ready to go out on the roads? Since when is it the school systems? All they do is give the basics of how to drive. How about the the parents? Perhaps the parents should get more involved in their sons/daughters lives. Maybe the parents should make sure their kids are prepared to go out onto the roads before giving them the keys.Typical, blame the schools.

I agree with you Woodrowski. It is the parents job but typically what you hear from the schools is "give us more money and we will do a better job". Well I say that if you can't do the job with what you are getting now, it surely will not help to give you more.

stupid a** kids. I hope some kind of charges are pressed on him & his parents! What was he doing when he ran off the road? Why wasn't he paying attention?

Kids screw up because they're kids. And they shouldn't be driving without parents.

Seriously. I can't even believe that people are placing blame. It could have easily been one of you that hit someone and killed them! I'm sure none of you have ALL of the facts so put yourself in that young boys place. He has to live with the fact that he hit and killed a man for the rest of his life. We don't know if he was texting or otherwise distracted so don't just assume that was the cause. How many of you have run off the road and over corrected and you got lucky that no one was traveling the other direction. I'm sure the family of the deceased gentleman is and will be mourning his lost for some time but I don't think placing the blame on the other driver or as someone else stated the schools is going to make anything better.

Um,actually it was his fault! If he actually got ran off the road he would have stayed off the road!He wouldn't have over-corrected and came back into the other mans lane.Over-correction is a very common cause of accidents among young inexperienced drivers. So Countrygirl maybe you should shut your mouth because you weren't there!k thanks

um i think i will do what i want. Yall don't know this boy & it could easily happen to yall. so yall just can't go blaming my bestfriend because he's 17 ! it's really immature! millions of people get in accident's. Maybe that's why it's call "accident" not like any of this happened for a reason.! & seriously why pick a fight when a famile is mourning over one of their family members killed.

country girl is correct. What 29 news fails to mention, is that the young man did over-correct, due to another car. Which then caused him to run into the other lane. St. Just road is a small, country back road.

This was a very unfortunate incident that has ended the life of a 32 year old man, and ruined the life of a 17 year old young man. I feel terribly sorry for both of their families and friends.

They need our prayers, not our uninformed criticisms and sarcastic comments about spelling.

To oc gal...you are 100% correct. It is not a matter of IF you are going to do it, it is a matter of WHEN.

countrygirl is right. some1s family is in lost of a family member and yall just wanna pick arguments over this. & i think she is right because it's her ex boyfriend. so what people have accidents. it's not because they meant for this to happen. so maybe yall are the ones that need to shut their mouths.

I agree its not enough that this kids has to live with the fact that a person died but you have all these critics who like to assume what happened and why it was the kids fault. Let both families grieve and keep you negatives comments to yourself.

no one can really honestly say what happened if they weren't there or hven't personally talked to the young man his self.just because he is 17 does not mean anything about his driving. he must have been a good enough driver to have gotten his license in the first place. personally i do not think he would harm a person intentionally. but all this 'blame game' crap takes a toll on him an his family. yes the man who past has family mourning, but y'all act like the boy isn't going through stuff himself. even i have ran off the side of the road and crossed the other line. but no one was coming. he was just a person placed in the wrong place at the wrong time. it isn't like he intentionally crossed the line.

I usually respond to the articles, and yes, I have been a little abnoxious in my responses, but come on folks, blaming the schools, assuming the driver was texting, saying the driver is too young (I was 16 when I got my license), and everything else under the sun is just plain dumb and insensitive. This young driver has a life sentence facing him knowing that his mistake cost someone's life. And the family who lost their son has a life sentence of loss of their love one. Instead of all these idiotic comments, let's hope for the best of both of these families. And let's be hopeful that none of us have to walk in the shoes of these two devestated families.

Dear Sad, to refer to the driver (or other young drivers) as stupid ass kids, is a sure sign that you are an ignoramous. The driver of this accident is (I am suer) grieving and remorseful, and to refer to him using a negative word at this time says that you are the ass. And you remember if you face anything harsh in your life that you may be referred to in the same way. What goes around comes around, you ass.

Um countrygirl, its easy to see why you're the exgirlfriend.LOL!Did anybody else see this other car besides the 17 year old driver? Is there a witness to this wreck?I doubt it.You are probably just believing what he told you.Otherwise a desciption of this car that caused a fatal wreck should have been relesed. If the driver was truly remorseful he wouldn't be trying to pass the buck.
