Yeah, those people produce nothing.
Do they add to GDP?

If you think the value of government services necessary to modern life and peaceful, organized society bear no relation to GDP you are an idiot.

For the second time...those services are necessary, but they produce NOTHING that adds to GDP. BTW, the private sector can do just about everything the government can. Ever been to a pharma manufacturing plant? They process water in both directions that makes the government efforts look like an exercise in germ warfare.

I think that pretty much sums up the mindset of the present day GOP, and explains why its a dying entity.

Control of the US House, 30 governorships, 72 Ohio counties, the state legislature...yeah, that's dying, huh?

Not really.

"Under the table" personal income sources are much more prevalent than many people presume.

For instance, drug dealers who do nothing other than deal drugs, are not "unemployed", and neither are those who earn money collecting scrap, panhandling at interstate exits in downtown Akron, or making money in a whole variety of methods whereby their income goes unreported to the government.

Fred. Go look up any economist's definition of GDP.

You are wrong. Get a grip, man.

Let's see. Democrats won the White House. Democrats maintained the Senate, winning 20 races to the GOPs 8. Democratic House candidates received 500,000 more votes nationwide than GOP candidates. Governor races, Dems 7 GOP 4.

Yeah. The GOP is on the rise, genius.

Wake up:

Of the eight Democratic and four Republican seats contested, only that of North Carolina changed party hands, giving the Republicans a net gain of one governorship.

As for raw votes in House elections, did it ever occur to you that large urban districts the vote Democrat are the reason for that? All of the NYC metro districts are larger than Wyoming's single district.
