A judge has exonerated a former Akron police captain who has spent nearly 15 years in prison for his ex-wife's murder.

The DNA is inconclusive at best in this matter, the woman was a physician and therefore her lab coat could reasonably have had contact with multiple contributors. What is undeniable are the following issues,1.the phone tapping, 2. the ongoing threats 3. his outstanding debts against the value of her life insurance policy. Most importantly since Dr. prade had no other known enemies beside obviously her ex-husband then only one question need be asked, If he didnt kill her then who did???. The summit county prosecutors office is right, this is a gross misapplication of the law. To think there arent people convicted with only circumstancial evidence in a murder trial is shortsighted, ironically it was Prade himself who admitted in the original trial that a strong circumstancial had beeen built he stated "I commend you for it".

There will be another trial, anyone can see it coming. Ask yourself something, what random shooter bites their victim after shooting them? Does that not represent itself as a crime of passion? getting the last word in on a former wife. The absence of DNA as well as a weapon does not exonerate him. Look at his behavior profile up to the time of the incident, this was well documented by former Detective's Myers and Duvall.The stalking,phone tapping, harrassement. Again what random shooter bites their victim??? Dr.Prade was well thought of and had no enemies, who would want to harm her? The retrial will clearly show what was known all along.
