Heating our homes is not a luxury. It is a necessity. Ohioans should not have to play the lottery in order to get natural gas to heat their homes. If you make the wrong choice when selecting a supplier your bills could be astronomical. And what if the plan you choose has a contract? More than likely there will be cancellation penalties if you try to switch providers in the middle of the contract. Who can afford that...especially in these times? We need to slay this monster the State has created. And after reading the Apples to Apples comparison charts, I have to ask, "who is the PUCO working for...the gas suppliers or the people"?

Note to self....
Start writing checks out to Snitchler, stop checks to Schriber.
Cash big bonus check.
Repeat.

$157,955 seems like a very high salary for a public servant of the State of Ohio. What benefits are included in his employment contract? How much are the taxpayers of Ohio contributing to his pension plan? So many questions that will never see the daylight to an answer. Be wary of things that lurk in the halls of this statehouse.

try nearly $200,000 - which is the pay for Janine Migden-Ostrander, who heads OCC who work with PUCO!
Why so many agencies doing the same work? Well, that is state government. This agency is not very well known to citizens of Ohio, but they are supposed to work for us, the consumers of Ohio!

This redundant agency does useless work which benefit no one in Ohio with the exception of the top execs of AEP and the gas companies. In May of 2009, Columbus Dispatch wrote an article and showed how 988 Million was charged in excess of national average from Ohioans. Janine is supposed to watch for utility price increases, where as she plays with the utility companies and Ohioans generally blame only PUCO. She has a equal role to play along with PUCO chairman for the price hike in Ohio.

She has received $50,000 increases which is unheard of in the history of state government pay increase! Chairman Solove, who overseas this agency is a business man - his father may have been a philanthropist - but son backs-up incompetent state heads who are nothing but arrogant and well - incompetent to say the least.
