Death: Aug. 4, 1972
Daughter of the late Cora Lee (Morehouse) Allen Elliott and stepdaughter of the late Alvin Elliott. Sister of the late Cassandra Allen. She had been a student at Central-Hower High School and would have been a senior in the fall. She worked part time as a secretary at the City Garage on N. Union Street. On August 4, 1972 she left for work and never arrived. Her body was discovered 21 months later in the woods off Beech St. not far from a short-cut path that she frequently used while walking to her job. She was only three blocks from her home on Tarbell St. Besides her parents and sister, she was also survived by a 16-month-old son.
Her murder has never been solved.
