Good!

There used to be this lady who would stand on the off ramp on the I-77 off ramp on Arlington Rd.

I can't tell you how many times I almost seen her get hit standing right there.

One day I called the Sheriff because she was standing in between the row of cars waiting for the stop light.

Every time I go to City Hospital area I feel so uncomfortable because they walk right up to my window pointing at their sign. I always just look around trying not to make eye contact. But it's like I see you! And if I wanted to give ya money I know how to wave you over. Oh! And if I'm smoking, they'll ask for cigarettes. I don't see panhandlers all over the place in any other town but Akron. It's embarrassing, when I go out to dinner with family from out of town there is alway an a panhandler at the expressway ramp, it never fails. It seems like as long as Akron gets their cut,(the fee from the permit) it's supposed to be ok. Well it's not. And I get scared sometimes when I'm alone. Some do get down right pushy. Now I do agree, I don't see the police enforcing this law. I think they just need to not renew or approve any more panhandling permits.

Round em up and puts em to work cleaning up trash around this trashy town. If they won't work, give em a one way ride to Cleveland.

I can't stand the aggressive panhandlers.

Some days I will be in a giving mood and I will give them a dollar or the change from my console which is usually about $2.

You can't help but to pre-judge these people there are those panhandlers who really are down on their luck but the majority of them panhandle for other reasons that we all know of.

Then there are people who panhandle as a career, No I'm not kidding on a good day a panhandler can make more an hour then people working at McDonalds.

A few years ago an elderly man had died and the Police recognized him as a Panhandler and since he didn't have any family the state was sorting though his assets and found he had over $20,000 in the bank and he made regular despots they looked over his statements dating back several years and noticed he has made over six figures panhandling alone although unethical he never lied on his sign it simply said "Help an old man?"

Then you get those people who take advantage of the kindness of strangers and panhandle because they don't want to get a job.

I work in Law Enforcement so I know all the tricks they use.

The one females always seem to use are "Homeless & Pregnant, Homeless Vet & Pregnant & Help Feed My Kids" All of these were used by one woman at 3 difference spots in one day.

She was neither a Vet, Homeless nor did she have any kids she was just too lazy to get a job, "Her own words"

Those kind of people make it so hard to trust and make you think twice about helping your fellow man out.
