Why is "seeming" that corruption is becoming common place in the Cuyahoga Falls police department? There's been way too many similar stories about Falls officers being released for one thing or another.

Who can you trust if you cannot trust the police in your community? Who is accountable for the hiring of these officers? Could the real issue be getting rid of the person who's done the hiring of all the officers fired (or jailed) over the past five years?

I'm throwing the comments out there for feedback.

yep start at the top and read their personal reports and don't ignore insabordanation or misconduct in and officer. Who has the balls? Look at Sheriff Gerald McFaul probe. Fed's awful busy these days.

So, people think I'm nuts for questioning who's hiring whom? OK. Those who won't question what happens in city (or state or national) government are the reason why we should change the national mascot from an eagle to an ostrich.

It's patriotic to question your government. It's tyranny to follow it without question.

I just realized that this form is over a year old. There must be a reason it is being brought back up. Maybe it's because of the tasering in Akron Jail. Is Drew Alexander the sherrif of this department too?

I remember this article, I also found out that this woman hit him over the back with a lamp, and kicked him between the legs in a drunkin rage first.
The Officer then punched her.
Let the man heal for 2 months, then turned around and pressed charges, telling the Officer my father made me do it, I had too or he threaten to take away my kids.
If you read further back in the forum you will find out why this woman was scared she would lose her kids.
How sad that women can get away with this type of crime. From my understanding this woman also stole thousands of dollars of this mans belongings.
My question to you JimmMotyka -
Why the double standard when it comes to domestic violance?
This woman is running around claiming she's a victim, she's no victim, she's a pathalogical liar.

You have a point. We are taking too much time being the judge and jury in things we don't have all the full info about. If the facts are as you say they are, it certainly changes the landscape. This is the danger in believing what the media is feeding us. It's supposed to be

Here's the deal though. We all have responsibility in what we do. Everything is going to have a consequence, good or bad. We have this inner sense to know people with questionable character, but often, our common sense is overlooked when we think "we can change them". Therefore, good people find themselves with bad people. It is most times out of willful ignorance.

With domestic violence, I've always wondered how and why people don't leave those situations and allow things to escalate to a level of violence, sometimes (in extreme cases) resulting in death. If there's not a family member, there's always a church or outreach place they can go to.

I remember this case. Lots of passion on both sides. The general consensus seems to be that every abused woman deserves it and every abusive cop is entitled to use physical force.

Actually: I'm a friend of this man
The general consensus seems to be that Not all abused women are telling the truth Starry, Many times they yell domestic violence when they don't get what they want, or hyped up on drugs and alcohol.Yes every abused cop IS entitled to use physical force when defending himself from an out of control lying nut. Nice to see this Officer retired out on disability, and is enjoying his life.

Fact: False Allegations of Domestic Violence Cost Taxpayers $20 Billion a Year.
False Domestic Violence claims hurt everyone, it especially hurts the target and their family (especially where children are concerned), it also wastes the resources and people who could otherwise be helping legitimate victims.
