The man should be charged with obstructing official police business at the very least. He was presented with the flier that made it clear she was missing...yet he fled. Whatever his intentions, this situation could have/may have gone very wrong.

Thank God for the family she is home safe and sound. I don't think people should jump to conclusions about the gentleman that helped her. After all, in the picture, she does not look mentally challenged. Hopefully, he was just a kind soul reaching out to someone in need. It seems now-a-days if you reach out to people, you are immediately under suspicion. I hope this is not the case.

The most important thing is that she is home safe and sound. BUT I to would like to know why the man did not just stay put and call the police. Why did he take her home and leave the address and number for the resturant to call? I think we may have more than one person mentaly challenge here.

Sounds like he might be a little mentally challenged himself.

i hope the parents keep a better eye on her after this scare and maybe get her a cell phone to take with her when she leaves the house...

i am very glad she is home safe....i agree with other posters...it is sort of odd that the guy left that place when presented with the flyer...it was great he drew a map to his house, gave his #, etc...but why not STAY there and let the place call the cops???
