sterling sucks and they treat their employees like crap. it's nothing more than a typical politcal corporate BS atmosphere. if you don't like it, get out. i did and couldn't be happier and just laugh at how bad the situation has become for that company. condolences to those tho lost their jobs but believe me, they did you a favor.

You wait until shit gets alot worse over the coming years. it's simple the common American isn't going to pay 1500 for a 10 k 22 inch chain, and why would they when they can get Ipods, and other great gift ideas for less then 300 dollars. Jewelery business will drop significantly. and please lets stop saying this recession is over...gonna get alot worse folks not to mention how about we give the consumer a little more of a break. PC weekends oooooo wow we get to give good deal 4 times a year...Kay has to think outside the box. its plain and simply average americans aren't going to be dropping g's on over priced jewelery

Sterling has always been disingenuous and crass in regards to hiring and firing...I went to their knob fest at Disney several times always knowing that managing for Sterling is a job not a career...I was told by a regional that they pay the highest wages in the USA...A true bs lie...I went from 33k managing a shop 60-70 hours a week to 45k at 40 hours a week one day after arguing about that point in Florida while watching ML and his knob polishers fall over their dicks when they had Cindy Crawfish make an appearance at their meeting at Disney and I think he believed it ....with the color of nose (brown) and the fact he was just one of ML's circle jerk buds. If anyone remembers the super old days at the home orifice, do you remember bowling ball head and eddie munster?

I'd love to hear from you if you recognize their nicknames.

How would you know, oh unemployed one?

I worked there as a salaried employee. It was a sweat shop.

no layoffs, actually going to have bonuses this year. Sterling is doing very well, just needed to trim off some fat.

This company is disgraceful and disrespectful toward all of its employees. The culture here is the most hostile I have EVER heard of. Saint Louis has a new District Manager after the last one was fired for her off-color and inappropriate commentary (a lawsuit was threatened by one of her direct reports, and she was fired), and this new one is extremely rude and self-serving. Given the consistency with this behavior, one can only assume that Dave Everton, the Regional Vice President, promotes this kind of shameful management. He should be fired, the new DM Marcia Osborne should go through actual DM training, and the whole company culture deserves a legal dressing down. Their practices in employee treatment are abusive and hostile. I have never heard of so much resentment toward front line employees, as though it is a luxury to work for them. Well, let me tell you, as one who lives with one of "those" people, luxury is not the word I would choose. Abusive? Yes. Tyrannical? Absolutely. This company is drunk on its own perception of power. Oh, and if you relocate to work for them, expect to wait more than a year for your reimbursements. I'm sure nice bonuses were handed out to the "leaders" of this company while their front line employees are paying for it out of their own pockets. OR, because you have the choice, DON'T work for them at all.

Incredible! Now Sterling is claiming it cannot find the relocation reimbursement paperwork for our more than $7,500 in relocation expenses.

Sterling, are you serious?

Clem Tripodi, you've got to be kidding me.

Marcia Osborne Carter, you are stooping very low.

Dave Everton, you should care about your people...at least a little.

This is absolutely shameful. I cannot believe this company's disingenuousness. They may abide by their customers, but they have been very dishonest with their employees from what I have seen.
