When members of American Legion Post 22a s board of directors voted last fall to buy a new car for Herbert Johnson, the thought that they might be doing anything wrong probably never crossed their minds.

Only 4 out of 12 supposedly authorized the purchase of a new car with taxpayers funds for personal gain. Even though it was not a majority, what were they and Johnson thinking? It's unbelievable!
Was it in the budget? Was it planned for? Was it done in a formal business meeting? Were there minutes taken? What else did they authorize that we don't even know about? Was it for personal use and registered in his name rather than the Legion? At the time, did he have sole use of a late model S10 pickup for Legion use? Did the full membership have a vote on such a high price expenditure?
Someone (more than one) needs to go to jail!!!
