Your taxes for the 4 years have payed for 2 employees of the Sheriff's dept to drive back and forth to Phelps County. More to come, but in a "nut shell" you are paying for 2 employees to driver just under 100 miles back and forth from Rolla and they live next to each other, still they chose to drive separately and you are paying for it. They could park at the outer limits of your county like most agencies do, but not these guys, they use over $100 in fuel each day do the math for the last 4 years and see how much you would have saved if these 2 drove together. Now add the personal use of his work vehicle by of one of the two, K. L. who is spotted all over using your tax money for personal reasons. More to come including the wreckage of one of the vehicles after leaving a bar AGAIN you paid for it.

What about that same guy using our vehicles and gas to support someone else running for Sheriff of his home county after being promised the Chief Deputy's position. He's also been involved in 2 serious accidents, one that near killed someone, in our vehicles. I wonder how much of our tax money was used to pay for those damages and medical bills, plus back and forth gas money, plus wear and tear on the vehicles. How many of our county residents could be employed instead of Phelps County's people. Sheriff Toelke is a good man, just makes dumb decisions sometimes.
