Stumps shaping up at McHenry County Historical Society Museum
Marengo sculptor Michael Bihlmaier works on carving a set of two stumps from 130-year-old cottonwood trees earlier this fall outside the McHenry County Historical Society in Union.

The amount of talent shown in these tree stumps is amazing for our little town. We are lucky to have someone with these abilities local. Thank you for using those great trees after their massive departure from the front of the museum. Great idea!
