Okay, let's hear the good and the bad. Here are THE RULES:

List only 1 business, then give the upside of that business, then the downside. Make it a positive/negative comment for each place you name. This should be fun, and enlightning... and everybody gets to air their complaints and compliment their favorite places. Let's see who can play by these rules without bashing what another person makes a comment about. See if you can refrain from bashing each other and just stick with the businesses at hand.

Positive side is it's always busy so they must get people in and out pretty quick.

Negative side is they need to have someone working in there who can count well enough to make change. If your bill comes to $28.41 and you give them two 20's and 41 cents, they don't knwo what to DO! The girl in there today gave me back my 41 cents, and a 20 back. She overpaid my change by $8.41. I stood there, dumbfounded. She smiled, thanked me and wished me a nice day.

What's up with that? I'm thinking that no wonder they're so busy, people are buying stuff and getting their money back!

Final flight, They have the largest selection of fire arms and accessories than any other place around here. The down side is their prices are a little higher than a few other places I could name.

Advance Auto Parts. I see a lot of cars parked in front, and that's about the only good thing I can say about them, except they do have one employee (a man) who will help you find what you're looking for and check you out. But he's not there every minute.

Now for the not so good -- You can go in there and if you're waiting to check out -- money in hand -- and you're the only person in line and the phone rings, they won't tell the person on the other line to hold for a minute, they'll stand there and talk to them while somebody is waiting to check out.

Now, I don't know what their policy is, or if they even have one, but I'm pretty sure the guy wasn't making any money over the phone, and he lost a sale, because the customer put the items back and walked out. Went across the street to O'Reilly's and bought the same item for half the price.

That customer won't be stopping in at Advance anymore. O'Reilly's it is! You walk in, get what you need or want, pay, and walk out. That's how EVERY business should treat their customers.

Fred's Dollar Store

The good is that you can usually find what you're looking for.

The bad news is that we were in there one day this week and the cashier was unloading some guy's shopping cart while he was busy shopping for more items. We put our items back and walked out of the store. I've never seen an employee unload somebody's shopping cart for them while they went back through the store, shopping. What about all those people waiting to check out??

The Good -- They're the only place in town who has almost everything you need.

The Bad -- They did this on purpose and ran other businesses out of town and now they can charge whatever they please and stock whatever products they want us to use, rather than what we really want. There isn't much competition around here anymore.

The Good -- Most of their prices are reasonable, compared to other places.

The Bad -- Once you get used to a certain product you like, they stop stocking it in the store and say the manufacturer has stopped making it.

The Good -- They're open 24/7.

The Bad -- What's up with all those check-out lanes if there's no one there to take your money?
