ABC wrote: Hoffy Dogs was pretty good. Yes we do need some other resturant to give McDonalds some competion. KP's has very good food and reasonable prices. A nice resturant with a salad bar. What was Hoffy Dogs and where was it at? What about a good resturant you can get a variety to eat like Ponderosa, with a buffet. These towns do need more options to shop at with the gas prices going so high.

What do we need to do to get the business here? Any suggestions?

save on gas

i'll tell you what. i am in portland quite a bit and i see that they let people ride their golf carts all over town (just not down the highway) they have to abide by the same rules as motorist in cars or they lose the privelage. and they do have to carry insurance. also they have to be licensed. can you imagine the gas you could save running around town? and i think it would get more people coming up town to shop. it's funny how they police chief says "in my opinion" it's illegal. i know of other places that allow it too. just think how much it would benefit local businesses, i think alot more people would want to get out on their cart and shop locally. it may even give someone a chance to open up a new business in cart repair and parts. but for now i'll take mine to portland to ride and spend my money there eating out and shopping

I have not lived here for very long but my grandparents told me how this town was really productive and everything you wanted you could find right here.

I've heard a lot of people have had a hard time finding the necessary gym clothes that the West Side Middle school requires. Having a place to purchase those would seem to help a bit or do away with the requirement, especially since kids grow so fast. It's just hard to find what you need around this town. The selection is so slim anymore. But we do NEED something for the kids like a skating rink or something that will keep them active. taco bell?we have a mexican restaurant--sandwhich shop??we have subway---steak house??we have sidetracks.we have plenty of places to eat.

Excuse me if I LIKE Taco Bell, prefer a HOT Sandwich and I used to like going to Ryans because of the variety. I do eat at Subway, but the others don't have the variety some people appreciate. I'm glad you like those places but not everyone has the same taste or cravings. This is a suggestion. Take it or leave it.

The food at that establishment is very yummy, great prices and the people are great too. Again, this is my opinion. I apologize if I offend anyone.

I would prefer using any free space in this town to bring in something other than fast food.

Wow, I thought this was started so that people could make suggestions. I didn't know eating was a hobby, but I guess since I do almost everyday it could be considered one. Maybe go back and read my first post. It talks about clothing too, and since I wear those ALMOST everyday I guess that is a hobby of mine too....lol. Have a great day.

SUGGESTIONS for new businesses in Union City. These are suggestions to try and help our town and SUPPORT it. I DO support the local businesses, but it wouldn't hurt to bring more into our town so that we don't have to waste gas going somewhere else. It's NOT just about food. We can get a bit more diversified than that, don't you think?

For the food hobbyist: try Ghyslains. YUM. Other places with selections: Woodcrest Lanes, Bouser's Barn, Sweet Shoppe, J&J, lots of pizza places too. I think we have plenty to eat.
I want a CATO!!! It's on the cheaper side, similar to Fashion Bug and we don't have to drive forever to get nice clothes. I know someone else posted that we used to have one in town...but I don't remember that...(recently moved back home from out of town).
