I hope this post will be of respect for this business and family. So many of these posts are of bashing and bad mouthing. This family decided it was best to move on. They ran a top notch business and they will be truly missed from this community. At least they were able to sell and not close like so many businesses. I wish them well and good luck in their future endevours.

I was curious will the new owners keep or close the garage part does anyone know. I have had my tires repaired there or replaced since the late 70's they will be missed and at a great price. The last garage that you can put free air in your tires so i'll have to finally buy that air pump.

I was told that guys at Aukerman's will be opening a place somewhere in town that will continue to do brakes, oil changes and things of that nature, just no more gas. The current location was bought by the people who own the gas station in Greenville by the circle. They will be remodeling Aukerman's.

Sad to not have Aukermans to continue serving the public with the full service and respect that was shown to their customers. This will be missed by a lot of people. Good wishes to them.
Glad to know that someone is willing to put hope into U.C. Good luck to the new owners!

That suks! So many businesses are gone since I was a kid. That was one of the few places left that I enjoyed going into and having a good experience.

I'm sorry that Aukermans is closing, but I'm glad that Pak-A-Sak will have some competition. Maybe some attitudes will change there.

A piece of Union City will be lost without them . It was always nice to go there and they would wash your windshield or check your oil or even put air in your tires if they need it .I will truly miss there service.
