What about all the waste at the district offices???? notice how you never hear about that ...I would recommend all to look up their school districts financial statements ...

Per law, everyone who may get laid off must be "noticed", but the fact is that only a few newly hired, energetic, low seniority younger teachers will be let go.
If every teacher took a very small pay cut across the entire state, nobody would lose their jobs. But alas, the old burned out teachers will remain after they throw the newer teachers under the bus.
I thought that these people were union brotheren? What ever happened to sharing the pain?
