Crewman on captain taken hostage: 'He saved our lives' - Sentin...

"they are just hungry" Is that right? So it's OK to take a ship hostage? In that case I'm just broke, I think I'll go rob a bank.
Only way to stop this is to stop rewarding it with ransom. When the Captain jumped into the water, that lifeboat should have been lit up like a Roman candle on the fourth of July. The crews of these ships should be allowed to carry side arms and shoot the pirates heads off as they come over the side. If the pirates fire on a US ship, that's an act of war. You take them out. I'm sure this will decrease the piracy problem. If not from fear, at least attrition.
God save Capt. Phillips, we don't seem to have the backbone to.

i wonder what the ship was really hauling, many of these are transporting weapons under the disguise of food and aid.
This makes them a target for the pirates as the weapons are very profitable in that part of the world, and very profitable for the ships

The pirates are threatening to retalliate against the States. Too late, they run the Mass Pike.
Gald to see everyone got out of this hostage situation!
