US sea captain freed in swift firefight - Greenwich Time

Full story: Greenwich Time

U.S. forces freed an American ship captain and killed three of his captors Sunday in a daring rescue that ended a five-day standoff between the world's most powerful navy and Somali pirates in a lifeboat far off the Horn of Africa.

I"m glad Obama was in charge. Bush would have practiced a messy, misdirected form of strategery that would have gotten the captian killed and us sending forces into Somalia within a month. And let's thnk the SEALS!

LOL. 99% credit to the Navy Seals and 1% to Obama. His decision was a no brainer. Could you imagine the backlash if He had not given clearance to fire? Oh my ... then America would really question what team He is playing for!

Anyway, the real question is what will Obama do about the ongoing continuation of pirate attacks. If Obama really does hold goodwill around the world, then shouldn't He tell NATO to send troops to the pirates' ports of operation and close them? This is a no brainer too!

But NATO is a joke
You are absolutely right. And Obama's goodwill won't mean squat if he can't even rally NATO to defend the high seas. That is why America will probably end up carrying the load on this international problem too. Unless Obama has no ballz.
