At 15 years old, they know better. Especially in this day and age. Make them do some time in jail.

At 15 some mistakes will be made. I sure it was a prank and a dare but they are children. I feel sorry for kids today-- all adults expect kids to behave like adults-- what happened to youth-- I know this prank call is serious but that is what is was a crank call how many of you made a crank call as a youth

I never called in a bomb threat. Punish these little pukes. Things like this happen because of the way people like you look at it.

You are NOT nuts or clueless. You are 100% correct. Their parents will probably buy their way out of this, too. Too bad ( for them) Klein and Carpenter aren't still practicing. They would have jumped at the chance to get them off of the hook.

The charges are appropriate. They called in a bomb threat to an armed governmental agency, what did they think was going to happen?

Who cares what color they are. Give 'em both 60 days, no time off for good behavior. See if they ever get into trouble again. This goes far beyond just a harmless prank call about Prince Albert in a can; it is essentially a death threat if you're working inside Troop E. If there's no jail time, then assign a couple of troopers to plain-clothes detail some night, pull the little SOBs over and kick the living crap out of them. Bet they'd fly straight after that, too.

This wasnt a mistake. They knew what they were doing. And...they did it to the police dept. All teens today should know about threats and bomb scares. There's no excuse. And they aren't children. They need to be accountable for their actions.

If they were black, the whole neighborhood would have been roped off in yellow tape with several news team covering the event - the "kids" thrown on the ground with stiff, black swat team boots digging in their backs, ugly post blowing up this story and not only the identity of the "kids" made known but every broken tooth relative they have splattered all across the TV screen and "High School Parent" providing a deep, anylytical view of what has gone wrong with children in the ghetto.

A crank call is when you ask someone if their refrigerator is running then tell them to go catch it. No harm done.

These a-holes don't get it that they threatened life and property. That ain't funny. Let's see how funny they think it is in the joint when they encounter real tough guys. Hey, funny guys, watch yer butts. And don't hold yer breath waiting for the authorities to come to the rescue.
