Doesn't anyone realize that a 25 year old scumbag murderer serving a 37 year sentence has nothing to lose by racking up more charges? It actually helps his prison reputation by shanking the guard. Why would they wait until after he almost killed a guard to "not tolerate any violence toward our staff and we will place inmates that can't comply with that in the most restrictive environment that we have"

The system is broken...cruel, inhumane and unusual punishment is the only way to go with these career loser criminals. They deserve no respect!

I knew someone from Garner would chime in. That "camp" is a pimple on the departments azz with the biggest cry babies in the department. It all started in 92 when all the scared babies transferred there and lost control and fled, then it was filled with rookies who NEVER worked a county jail and think that place is tuff? Try working the dorms in the early 90's then cry you have to run a closed block...plez

LOL Garner has 3 times as many codes and incidents than any other facility in the state. Where do you work, Webster?? Make sure the croutons are full at the salad bar buddy.
But your right on one thing, it is a joke as they let UConn completly take over and call the shots @ Garner. Its the reason most people transfer out. I worked the dorms and galleys in the early 90's and would welcome that back. It was prison then, it was real, not the BS run by bleeding heart liberals. And if its a camp, well its one dangerous one...

22 months to go and counting......

To all you CO's out there, my hats off to you Brothers. You guys have a tough job and don't get nearly enough credit for the work you do. As a nearly 30 year PO, I respect your dedication and appreciate your service. You guys have a tough and under-appreciated job. Hope the two officers recover quickly and the rest of you be careful in there. Hope the s***bag gets his tune up soon.

Walk a mile in their shoes before making inane comments like this. You have no clue what these guys do. As a cop, I may deal with a felon every so often, but a Correctional Officer deals with felons all day long. They have a tough job and the psycho's add a whole new level of danger to an already dangerous job.

Tough guy with a nail in a pen Huh? That piece of shit needs a good working over, and I hope he gets it. A pillow case filled with bars of soap might work for him,
