What a waste of skin these two killers, Chad & Shannon, are. I hope that you constantly get run out of wherever you choose to live, and I hope people gossip in front of your children about you. As for Chad's father & family, may you lose everything, and live knowing that because of your GUILTY son & his slut, you wasted money on two arrogant and condescending defence lawyers, who are well trained at twisting the truth as long as they're getting paid lots of money. The trial should have been held in a totally different venue where officials, etc, didn't feel like they had to kiss the Floyd's butts to continue living in the area without fear. I think the jurors came across as afraid of the Floyds or else some were paid off!

<quoted text>I hope 48 hours continually airs this show until the killers are brought to justice. You say the wound has been reopened. Well, sir, I don't think it ever healed. God forbid, if I were to ever kill someone I would want you as my attorney, your pretty good. It's too bad the prosecution couldn't request that this trial be taken out of Stanton county like you defense attorneys can, because I can almost bet those two would be in the cross bar motel by now. Money talks.
I agree. I've seen this show for about the 4th time now & I can't believe that these people are still walking around free. Makes you think they had jurors from the Casey Anthony case. It seems obvious who the murderers are.

You are accusing them of murder!!! They are telling you that they are innocent!!! Shannon would be absolutely crazy to turn her child over to anyone who is still accusing her of murder, grandmother or not!!!
I have no clue if they are guilty or not but I do see why she won't allow you to see Mikey. It's sad but you have bad mouthed her continually on this site. Why would she have any doubt that you wouldn't criticize her time and time again to her son if you had a chance?
She never wanted them to see him before anyway. Money and power was the verdict. Their marriage won't last, her son will one day make his own decisions and come to his own conclusions....he'll possibly resent his mother. Anywhere else those two would be behind bars.

I lived in Johnson during the middle of all of this and worked at Chad and Shannon's bank. Funny all of the stuff they leave out. This town is SO stinking small, and the wealthy of the community think they run the world and that the world should bow down to them. Money makes Johnson, Kansas go 'round. The few days after making the announcement that Chad was suspected of murdering Mike, he was in the local gas station yelling, "Oh yeah, that's right, I killed him! I did it!" In a very condescending manner... I wonder if that was brought up in court? I was a teller at their bank. He came to my window the day they fled to Colorado to empty his bank account. To KNOW that I was sitting across from a murderer was unsettling. Money and the Floyd name are the only reasons they are free. The jury was hung because the trial was held IN Johnson - a town of 1200 people and 80 miles away from anything. Johnson is their world. They have no idea that the rest of the world could care less about their name or their money. If you were on the jury and had ANY connections to the Floyds (which is likely, since they own half the town), would you vote Guilty? I think not, or you may have ended up in the ground, too. There were also rumors of cemented in wells all over the Floyd properties that may not have been looked into. This is a messed up town. Glad we don't live there anymore.

To the jurors of this case its a shame you let people and their money influence your decision. That you could not come to a decision is appalling and proves you have no backbones nor mind of your own. you are cowards who should grow some balls, just like the prosecuter who gave up and dropped this case. was he paid off too. I would rather live in Compton or some other dangerous city than this piece of shit town. Those pussy ass defense attourneys should have their hick asses kicked!!REAL TALK

I just wanted you to know 48 hours aired this show again and I hope someday you will find more evidence to convict. It does not matter what the attorneys say
It only matter what God says. I hope you will find justice one way or the other and I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope this case never goes forgotten .

Just keep showing this program at least once a year & hopefully someone will appear with a tip or a clue. Murders are being solved twenty or more years after the fact, nowadays, so keep watching your backs, Shannon & Chad. It will all blow up on them one of these days & maybe young Mike will see the program as he gets older & will start to remember things & learn his mother & step'shithead'father have lied to him all his life! Don't they understand how guilty they look just for refusing to let Mikey see his father's family? That tells us something right there! The Floyd's may have money, but they're SMALL-town bullies who are disliked because of their arrogance & 'I am important' attitude. Believe me, people like that are not important but ignorant bullies.

Im white and upper class east coast Boston educated so i dont relate to retards or inbreds(no real difference) but clearly if u have a jury that works with the floyds that is paying off the jury - let me think im gonna find him guilty and mr floyd will still keep me on payrole even a redneck can figure out thats not gonna happen - and sorry but ive done dope and moved some of the best dope coming to america and trust me the people in kansas cant afford top quality heroin therefore theres no big time drug dealers - but good job to the 2 defense attorneys clearly ur smarter than the dumby prosecutor but to what cost - GOD will make u pay and send u straight to heaven - you have a choice ur a private defender say i reject this case cause hes guilty ur not forced to take rich peoples money but just like OJs lawyers and every1 in hollywood u get set free by the scum of the earth money hungry high IQ defense lawyers without souls.... Chad and shannon i hope u rot in hell and shannon seriously close ur legs man theres no way u can create a pretty baby girl and ur obviously dumb so theres no reason for u to reproduce ever again

It has been a long time for me to comment on this. I am family... family of Chad Floyd. You are very competent, and I respect your ability to do your job as defense, more than you will know, as I work in this arena. But, you must know, that many family members know who they feel about this matter, and it wouldn't fall on your side. I don't know why I am posting this after many years, I guess I want to speak to how many of my family members, both living, and deceased, would speak on this, in a very honorable truthful, way. I hate how sometimes the family was vilified for having money, many of my relatives helped build the community, and were only looked upon as that being a character liablity. I feel that this is one of those cases where, in our gut, we know what probably occurred, but, it does have to be proven in a court of law, which is what makes our country great. And I love that about our country. They were found not guilty, for a myriad of reasons, good fodder for the media, but, as you and I know, are quite complex. You do your job, and it is to protect the weakest among us. But I guess I just want you to know......

Statement by Dan Monnat and Kurt Kerns, Lawyers for Chad and Shannon Floyd In Response to CBS “48 Hours” Primetime Broadcast
“One year ago, the State of Kansas dismissed all charges against Chad and Shannon Floyd after two
laborious trials in a case originally filed by former Attorney General Phill Kline. The prosecutors correctly realized that no jury would convict this innocent couple, and that a third trial would gain nothing and do more harm than good in this small farming community.
“The Floyds and many residents of Stanton County had hoped that the dismissal would put an end to
the malicious gossip and veil of suspicion that had divided and exhausted their community ever since Michael Golub disappeared. But just when the healing had begun, CBS producers from 48 Hours came along and re-opened the wound for no greater purpose than the network’s own commercial interests.
“Chad and Shannon cooperated with law enforcement and answered their questions during the
investigation. Chad and Shannon presented their case twice in court, so they had no reason to rehash the ordeal again for the gratification of some ratings-driven reality TV show. Chad and Shannon wished only to put this case behind them and focus on their children, and they asked that CBS leave them, their children and their community alone.
“Trial by TV is an insult to the innocent and a sad day for justice. CBS’s 48 Hours program is pure television entertainment—the more sensationalized, the better. The program’s take on the Floyd trial was like its treatment of most cases—inflammatory and grossly incomplete. In its commercial-filled hour, 48 Hours could never fairly portray a case that took nearly a month to try in court. But, here, even the private eyes hired by 48 Hours couldn’t agree on what happened. That’s a far cry from proof beyond a reasonable doubt and exactly how innocent people get wrongfully convicted.”

.......Are you absolutely sure YOU are an attorney. I think you may be a fake. Otherwise, you would know that people are not prosecuted at the behest of CBS TV or any other network. Plus, if you are THE attorney why would you consider it a "sad day" when two trials means twice the mega bucks for you?

It is a sad story all the way around but the truth will prevail when the son grows up and demands to know what happened to his Dad. Prior to that there is every likelihood that Chad & Shannon will split and one will spill the beans on the other. I am sure Chad is having second, third and fourth thoughts about his marriage.

God’s justice will be swift and final. No one will escape this and an eternity in Hell’s fire is definitely not on my to-do list. I’m sure there are many who have escaped justice here on earth but they too will be held totally responsible for their actions here on earth, especially in the case of Mike Golub. I would strongly suggest that if anyone has any knowledge about the disappearance of Mike Golub that they come forward with it right now, because you also will be held accountable for not doing so. In God’s Court of Justice, EVERYTHING will come to light and TRUE JUSTICE will be served, and not even the Floyd’s will be able to “Buy” their way out of this Court!!!!!!!! For those of you who know the “TRUTH” concerning Mike Golub and what happened to him and can not completely disprove that God & Judgment exist, my advice to you is come clean right now or face the very real alternative of spending an eternity in Hell.

God loves us all but even God will punish those that knowingly go against his Word. Chad and Shannon Floyd, God said,“Thou Shalt Not Kill”, and especially in your case, there is “NO EXCUSE” for justifying it!!!! NONE!!!!!!!!!!

Our greatest scientific minds have concluded without any doubt that it is impossible for DNA to self-assemble. What does this mean???? It means “GOD IS REAL”.

And finally Chad and Shannon Floyd, an Eternity of Pain is an extremely long, long time…

I really think whoever wrote this knows the truth of what happened to Mike, and truly hope your conscious eats you alive because if I heard correct his mother has since passed and Shannon being with with Mike in the pass and knows that the family means no harm, just wanted to see their grandson that was part of her son .I hope Shannon suffers for what she did and the suffering probably began when Chad left her anyway.May Mike rip.
