Yes, we would make the same big deal: Don't kid your self:::

Would the police make such a big deal of it if the girl had stolen prescription pills or a bottle of Vodka from her parents and sold it to fellow students? Why would the parents be investigated if they are in compliance with Medical Marijuana law? Can't parents have alcohol or other medicines around the house without getting in trouble? What's the difference with medical cannabis?

They should be taught that in MJ's 5000 years of recorded use, it is responsible for 0 death's, yet prohibition and it's policy has created an environment in which is responsible for many death's.
Personally myself I am more worried about my kids watching a "girls gone wild" commercial or any of the many other seedy without morals programing on TV. Programing like that IMO can have a greater negative impact of the rest of the lives of our kids, than cannabis.
WOW!! As some one who had 2 friends in separate incidents crash and die while driving high, no alcohol involved, I would have to disagree about 0 deaths. Seems to me you are the one spewing lies about MJ.

And you're more worried about porn than illegal drug use!?!?!?! Glad you're not my parents and hopefully our kids never become friends. Wouldn't want your kids telling them sex between consensual adults is WRONG but smoke all the illegal weed you want.

He was talking about overdose deaths dummy! No lies. jjust you misunderstanding.
And cannabis stays in a persons system for up to 30 days but impairment from use only lasts 3 to 4 hours. Just because they tested positive for cannabis doesn't make it the culprit. Sometimes teens make stupid mistakes.
yeah cuz it said overdose deaths right there, huh prick!?!?!? No misunderstanding here. Friends smoke pot, friends attempt to drive home shortly after, friends altered state of mind causes slower reaction time, friends wreck car and die. Not sure who is the dummy if you can't see the direct corralation between getting high via MJ and death.

There are some things that are "legal" that children need to be shielded from. With parenting like that, it is no wonder she is a drug dealer.

Buttered Bread? What did you put in your butter?
When I pull my head out of a hole, I will educate my children based on facts from professionals.

What are its short-term effects?
Short-term effects of marijuana include problems with memory and learning, distorted perception (sights, sounds, time, touch), trouble with thinking and problem solving, loss of motor coordination, increased heart rate, and anxiety. These effects are even greater when other drugs are mixed with weed. A user may also experience dry mouth and throat.
What are its long-term effects?
Marijuana smoke contains some of the same cancer-causing compounds as tobacco, sometimes in higher concentrations.Studies show that someone who smokes five joints per week may be taking in as many cancer-causing chemicals as someone who smokes a full pack of cigarettes every day.

It wasn't an overdose of cannabis that caused the death, it was a car accident which was dui related that caused the death. It is impossible to ingest or smoke enough cannabis to cause death. Alcohol, on the other hand, is LETHAL! you can actually purchase LETHAL dose of alcohol at the store.

And yet in over 4000 years of use there has never been a reported case of cancer from smoking cannabis. Why is that? HHHmmm...seems to me I've seen several studies that discuss the cancer fighting properties of cannabis.

Does anyone give a damn about how their kids are being exposed to MJ in this county? Education is no longer is a top concern. These MJ growing parents are setting a great example for their kids. Why would you need an education when you can live in Mendo county, grow pot, trim it, sell it and never have to work to make an HONEST dollar? You should all be ashamed that you can't even see right from wrong..whether you believe in medical marijuana or not. Oh, and of course, let's not prosecute the parents, lets prosecute the kids! Backwards thinking, gets backwards results! It's this thinking that has turned this county into the lovely place it has become.
Backwards thinking? It sure is. Why dose a patient have to take and cure thier own meds, Isn't that what is stated..The MJ was drying in the garage? IT's the Government that is backwards though. That patient should of already been able to go to the pharmacy and get thier med.s. Not trying to be a Nut. The child stole from the parent regardless, this time it was the MJ drying in the garage. What else has the child stole from her parents? All this is more propaganda BS to keep MJ from being legal.
I can't see where the parent was at fault, sure they could of put a hasp and a lock on the garage doors at both or all three of them. But hey if the child wanted in to get the pot to sell, they would of found away. Come on how far dose one have to go? Shall we lock up insulince, umm how do you lock up your MJ to cure and dry?

Sorry, but that's not good enough for me, information from "November" a coalition started by the sister of a prisoner who was serving 10 years for a marijuana conspiracy. You can do better than that. Facts from someone with a degree in medicine.....one that doesn't write prescriptions for greed.

Sounds like a conspiracy to me. "Westcoast LEAF?" Why would they print anything other than the truth? If they did, they wouldn't sell their paper. My father has smoked pot daily since the early 60's and he has cancer. Bladder, Prostate and Melanoma. Seems like if these facts were true, it would have helped him in one way or another. Too bad MJ didn't cure his parenting skills. I should have been so proud when he managed to make it to ONE of my soccer games. I was too busy watching him smoke a joint in the stands. Maybe your thinking would be different if you had my father!

You're a idiot! You put up a source like drugfree america and then denounce my web site which only reported the data that scientists and doctors discovered.
Since you won't accept the other site try this one and please...I want to see your response.

WEll, not a father, but a mother, and at the age of 17 back 76 I wished I had gotten my mother the pot she was asking me to get for her. Watched my mother shrivil up to nothing in six years of fighting with cancer's before she passed away. Though for her it wasn't the pot, it was growing up living in closed quarters with a wood stove, and cigerettes. But I know now that the MJ would have done her alot of good for pain as well as in apitite. excuse the splling typoes grammer, Have parkinson's, and medicated lol.
OH hell who's lieing, I never got that English/grammer stuff anyways. lol.

The AMA has reversed it standing about marijuana and admits it has medical value. If they can...maybe you should consider it too.

And it's obvious your fathers laziness and inattention bothers you but to blame cannabis for that just gives him a out for his actions and decisons. Cannabis isn't the evil weed you think it is.

And by the way I have smoked pot since 1965. Not just abit, but mostly daily. My lungs checked out clean four months ago. I quiet smokeing cig.s earlier this year. Wanted to see how much damgae I had done to them with something like 37 years of smokeing cig.s and pot. I don't think it was the MJ that gave your father cancer. More likely peticides that were used quite extensivly back then. But you got a doctor report stating such....
I can blame all kinds of things that gave my mother cancer.

There has been much interest in the use of marijuana to treat a number of medical problems, including chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in cancer patients. Two forms of marijuana have been used: compounds related to the active chemical constituent of marijuana taken by mouth and marijuana cigarettes. Dronabinol (Marinol®), a synthetic form of the active marijuana constituent delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is available by prescription for use as an antiemetic. In 1985, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved its use for the treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy in patients who had not responded to the standard antiemetic drugs.

ROFL... Educate your self, This is not the 80's or early 90's for that matter, we now have more reliable fact's and information from actual studies, not just mis information or clever twisting of the facts that this you have posted is.

There are some cases where cannabis has been very beneficial kids, but I am on board with the crowd that does not think is a good idea for kids to consume it, and that is what I teach my kids, I also teach them about the many dangers in life as soon as they are able to understand. I put it in the same category as alcohol... when you are of age then it is up to you, but until then it is not acceptable in my household and my kids understand that.

My kids have no attraction to it, it is not an issue or a strange thing, there is no taboo around it, they pay as much attn to it as they do the jar of sour kraut in the cupboard "which they don't like"

You and people like you seem scared/fearful sheep, alway's looking to cast blame on something outside yourselves, you teach your kids to fear things because you are so fearful, you use lies to make others fearful like you.

Life is dangerous, you can die at anytime, so I teach my kids personal responsibility and discernment, I will do my best to give them the understanding they need to make the right decisions in life, then it is up to them, I will not trick them into anything or lie to them to try to protect them....
